Gold Bond Rough & Bumpy Daily Skin Therapy Cream, 8 oz., With 7 Moisturizers & 3 Vitamins

This is an exfoliating cream meant to be applied at night and rubbed off in the morning. When first applied, it's incredibly oily. It leaves your skin feeling greasy and thick. It goes on pretty smooth and evenly, and it stays on all night. It has no scent, and it pretty good quality for what it's worth.But this is not a daily moisturizer for everyday use. You wash your skin, preferably in warm water, apply this lotion while it's still slightly damp, and then sleep with it on. The next morning, you take a towel or some sort of abrasive rag and rub the dead skin off. This cream is for exfoliating, it works by loosening the dead skin on top and moisturizing the new skin below. Hence why it's so oily.I like to put it on before a workout so that when I'm done, I can take a shower and scrub all the sweat and dead skin off. Pretty interesting product.

This is a great emollient cream that I have found smooths and softens my skin in just one use. I have moderate keratosis pilaris on the back of my arms and a bit on my legs. I use this, after exfoliating and sometimes using an SA cream, generally before bed. While it doesn’t remove much redness, I find my skin is far smoother and soft when I use it regularly, with no bumps to the touch.It is very thick and moisturizing, and similar in texture to many eczema creams I’ve tried, but unlike others, this doesn’t have a strong smell. It’s also a great value for a tub that lasts a long time.I try to be careful about safe skincare ingredients, and while I wouldn’t use this on my child, the ingredients of concern are salicylic acid and propylene glycol, both of which are in a majority of products like this. They can cause a contact allergic reaction, but this is dependent on the consumer. I have sensitive skin and have developed more allergies as I’ve aged, but I have had no personal adverse reactions to this cream.

Works really well for KP bumpy skin. My skin feels smoother within a few hours and is clear within 2 weeks of using it. It is a little sticky and is not my favorite smell, but it works great.

I've neglected the skin on my body for years - mostly due to lack of effort and not caring because I rarely bare my skin anyway. It had gotten to the point that even the most rich moisturizing lotions did not to moisten my skin.I had started to notice that I had a lot of discoloration and hyperpigmentation and keratosis pilaris on my body. I am in my early 30s and had never noticed these issues before, so I started to try to figure out a routine.First I tried this cream, Gold Bond for Rough an Bumpy Skin. It smelled terrible out of the bottle, when I put it on before bed it feels sticky and gross. After a couple of days my skin felt slightly smoother, but for me it wasn't worth the bad smell and the icky feel on my skin. Personally, for me to stick to a routine, I have to enjoy it.Next I tried Cerave SA Lotion. Same results, except it didn't have a smell and didn't make me feel sticky. And the bottle was tiny and barely lasted.I talked about my issues on a forum, and it was suggested to me to start a treatment plan that included AHAs, BHAs, and salicylic acid so they would all be available to my skin and restore the moisture barrier. It was also suggested to try the Cerave SA Cream.Even though each product barely did anything for me in its own, when I started alternating nightly between each I started seeing HUGE results in the way my skin felt and looked. I had gotten so used to dryness that I had stopped noticing it, but now my skin feels so good that I've kind of turned into a perv, running my hands over my body constantly, just enjoying how smooth and soft everything is. The hyperpigmentation and the spots left by my keratosis pilaris have improved only slightly, but I expect it to be much better in a few months. In the meantime, I am enjoying short term results with the way my skin feels.Every time I've tried to take on of the products out of rotation, my skin gets dry again, so it appears it's absolutely vital to have both in my routine. I also threw in Retinoil from the brand Chemistry by Deciem, that focuses more on scars and PIH. Jury is still out on it it, but it definitely helps my skin look more smooth and bright in general, so I've been using that in the morning after I shower.I still think the Gold Bond stinks and is sticky, though. I've gotten used to the smell, but I make a note not to use it on nights in which someone might smell it on me Overall the Gold Bond is best at making my skin feel smoother and less bumpy, with the Cerave SA cream is the best and making my skin feel softer and moisturized.

This is a miracle worker for my pale, rough and bumpy skin that magnifies every imperfection. From first use, immediately after my shower, I felt softer, smoother skin. Now I can SEE softer, smoother, skin with fewer bumps. This cream glides on beautifully and absorbs quickly into my skin. I can even mix it with my self tanner and the results are amazing - an even toned, no streak glow. Reasonably priced, excellent quality, arrived on time and in good condition. Fragrance free, so it doesn’t compete with my everyday fragrance. Highly recommend.

I'm noticing a reduction in the bumps on my upper arms and thighs after two applications! I've not had any peeling or flaking, which I've seen others mention. No greasy or sticky feeling. I'm looking forward to continued use of this cream and hopefully the elimination of all of those little bumps.
