The lock is plastic and broke a few days after the return window.
This was the third unit that we ordered. The first two came in damaged. The third one has the same issue. The internal lock is plastic. Overall concept of this unit is good, however, major design flaw on lock and the way it opens/closes. Sorry to say, I cannot recommend this unit.
