Works and a very good value.
Fairly easy to assemble...fit my projector. It is a little difficult to get it adjusted and make it hold tight...some slop in the bolts and tightening mechanism. There is a little rubber membrane that goes around the ball joint the assembly, the instructions do not address it...if I had not read about it in one of these reviews I may have thrown it away without realizing it. It is important to install this or I do not think the ball joint would work...its a little difficult to get it tight and hold even when properly assembled. You can do it and it does work, just takes some care and you must be careful if touching the projector or it may change the alignment. Keep in the mind the price...very economical so at the end of day I quite happy.Update:A couple of months after my original purchase I moved the projector and mount. I took a little more care this time tightening things and I must say it is holding very well at this time. Additionally, about a week ago I was contacted by customer service to express their concern with the tightening issues I described in my original review. They offered specific instructions for how best to tighten the ball joint (incremental tightening on both sides of the ball joint until secure). They also offered a partial refund to express their belief that customer satisfaction is top priority, AND have offered to send me an upgraded unit at no additional cost to me (I am allowed to keep the original unit as well). This is probably the most effort toward customer satisfaction of any company I have ever experienced. Wow.I am changing my rating to five star. The unit was a great value to begin with, but the level of customer service is exceptional...even more so given the dollar value of the transaction.

Amazing Customer Service! Good little mount
I used this on an Optoma HD131xe. I had to switch out all of the arms with the shorter ones, and then insert them backwards so they would line up. It only took three of the arms, also. This was fine as they did line up. Then, like another reviewer mentioned, the silver shaft that creates the pivot is not pressed into the round black base well enough to cinch it up, so I had to weld the shaft to the round base. Otherwise, there was too much float to get the picture aligned with the screen properly. After these minor changes, it does the job it should.***UPDATE***Surprisingly, I just received a call from the seller and they mentioned reading the above review. We talked about the adjustment I made to the mount in order to eliminate the extra movement. The lady explained the company reads customer reviews to ensure they are satisfied with the products they sell. I am impressed. When I wrote this review, I only did so to help others out but it may be even more beneficial because the seller says they will reassess the press-in part that causes the extra play. I have never experienced such over-the-top customer service. You have amazed me! She mentioned they warranty their products so if I ever run into a problem with anything I purchase from them in the future, to let them know and they will get it taken care of. Honestly, because I own a welder, it was an easy enough fix for me. You don't have to fully weld the shaft. It only needs a couple of tacks to eliminate the movement. Still, to further the awe-inspiring customer service experience, they are refunding the cost of the mount. I could live without the refund. Just getting the call and hearing the interest in learning how I corrected the problem was satisfactory. Buy from this seller! They are definitely worthy of my business! Plus, who is so in touch with their customers anymore? Kudos!

Decent construction, hardware well-packed
The first thing that happened when I opened the box was that one screw fell out. I never discovered where it was from, because none were missing from the unit, and all the extra screws were well-packed in separate compartments of a long, plastic bag. The bag had letters on each compartment that matched the instructions' descriptions of the parts.Instructions were brief. Not the worst I've seen, but they could easily be improved. Isn't there one unemployed English-speaking person in China who would like to improve the lives of millions of people by writing (and verifying) assembly manuals for the items they ship here? The instructions cover mounting it to a wall. Who would do that? You mount it to a ceiling. They should have done a global search-and-replace on the instructions to change 'wall' to 'ceiling', and 'studs' to 'joists'.Our projector only required 3 mounting holes, which the instructions cover (remove one of the four arms), but the holes were too close together to assemble the mount normally. I had to turn the brackets around to face inward instead of out. The problem with that is that then a normal screwdriver doesn't fit down through the adjustment slots to tighten the screws that go into the projector. It took a bit of messing around, disassembling the slide portions one or two at a time, tightening each bracket to the projector, reassembling, then disassembling the next two to get it all together tightly. What's the cable and clip for? I don't know, and the instructions don't say.I had to really crank down on the 3 bolts at the top where it swivels and the one near the bottom to get it to not wobble and move the display off the wall screen.Everything was made of heavier-gauge metal, so it should last forever, and hold up well. Plenty of ways to adjust it to fit any unit you want to hang.Update: 04/19/2015The company contacted me a couple weeks ago. They had read my review (and the reviews of others), and had made updates to their hardware and instructions. The customer service girl asked me about all the issues in my review, and at the end offered to send me a replacement mount. A few days later, it arrived.A week later, I had time to open it up and check it out. The instructions were MUCH better than before! I only found 1 grammatical error, and I'm pretty picky about grammar. The instructions didn't mention the little safety cable at all, which was odd. My projector doesn't have a mount point for the cable, so I didn't need it. This version came with a nice HDMI cable, and the point where the ball joint meets the projector mounting plate was rock-solid. The previous mount had a loose joint there, so no matter what you did, it wobbled.Customer service called me back to see what I thought. I thanked them for the replacement and praised the improvements.Cheetah Mounts definitely has great customer service, right up there with Amazon!
