5.0L/5.7L Volvo Penta/OMC Exhaust Manifold & Elbow/Riser Kit. 3847501, 3862664

SO marine manifolds are kind of a sacrificial part and should be changed more often than I care to, you'll see the reason in the pictures that show blocked water passages from rust, very likely from PO bad maintenance however; I should be happy that I got the years of use I got out of the original set.These are obviously not a VOLVO Penta part and its immediately obvious, they are an aftermarket replacement, that said, they appear to be a high quality, well made part that's USA made, the fit was perfect, and all the required parts were included for the installation, if I had to knock these in anyway is that I feel they could have provided better bolts, however the ones sent in the box are adequate.Make sure that you also order ALL the rubber boots to connect the exhaust when you do this job (yes the upper and the lower boots), after all the work it takes, it would really suck if you had to remove recently installed upper manifold parts to get to a boot you could have replaced while you were already in there.Overall I fell that I got a good value for my money considering that the factory parts are pretty much unavailable in the market and when you do find them they are 2 - 2.5 times the cost of these.

This is the second set I purchased from this vendor. I got 5 years out of last set and going to push a 6th but I fresh water flush like a lunatic. If engine shows signs of running hot I will change them again. Rather have and not need then vice-versa. Fit my ‘03 Volvo Penta 5.7gi like their supposed to. Wish there was a way to ceramic coat internally but otherwise…good product.

I bought this product in September 2023, as a disabled Veteran I had old injuries take me out for a few months. Once I was able to work on the engine again, I discovered they were the wrong parts. I contacted center state marine engines, only to find out they didn’t sell them or ship them. The were sold by a used car lot from Boise, Idaho. I contacted the “seller” only to have them tell me they can’t return the parts, due to the age. I contacted center state marine engines and they would have exchanged them for the right parts, had THEY sold them. I suggest you google center state marine engines, to order from them, rather than this page. Also, because they were sold by a 3rd party they do not have a warranty from center state marine. Please be aware of these facts.

Does not have drain plug like the OEM manifolds. Still works fine but does not have hole for easy draining and winterization like the volvo manifolds.

Worked very well for my volvo penta 5.0 gxi engine. Seems good quality. The bolts are on the softer side compared to original volvo penta, but, when you install the riser, if you relax the riser pipe clamps, exhaust riser should sit on the manifold straight and not rip off the the threads of the nuts. So, good buy, recommended.

Perfect replacement for my 2004 Volvo Penta 5.0 GXIE boat engine. Solid and well built. All fasteners and gaskets included. Arrived very fast! Had to remove paint from mating surfaces.
