Mine shuts off after about 20 minutes.

It will snag my hair a little. I try to put a little less hair in when that happens, and that seems to help. Hope this helps!

Q: Are these flat irons for the edges around your head?

For curling the hair. If you try to curl you hair with a regular flat iron you'll see dents in the curl. With the edged plates on this it will curl better.

Q: Can this be used in China? With or without a plug adaptor?

Yes it can be used with adapter plug but u must be careful so that u don't blow a fuse so please plug it by itself to give u better results
