First time making Angel Food Cake!
I purchased this pan in order to make an angel food cake for my son's first birthday. Now, I'm no baker and that's that really anything new. So when I received this pan, I was a bit confused as to why the whole center pulled out (It definitely makes sense after using it :-)) I was so afraid that this pan would leak that I put water in it, and sure enough, the water leaked out. However, what I did not understand, is Angel food cake batter is thicker than water and did not, in fact, leak out. It made the perfect, spongy, well done angel food cake. The pan itself seems durable, and since it does come apart, easy to clean. I definitely think it was worth the money I paid.

Love the pan
It is the perfect size for several of our favorite recipes, especially variations of angel food cake or bundt cakes. The pan has held up well and I am very pleased with it.

Perfect for boxed angel cake mixes
Boxed angel cakes need a large capacity tube pan -- and this is perfect for that purpose. It has enough volume so that there's never any overflow; and the seal is excellent -- since it comes apart there's never any leakage. Well made; lightweight for what it is, and easy to clean and store.

Angel Food Cake Bliss
This cake pan is the perfect one to use for a traditional Angel Food Cake. I've seen it used on Food Network so it has to be good! Pleased with the look and feel of the pan, that I can use the legs to cool the cake, and the removable bottom is great. Can't wait to make my husband's favorite cake!

Great Pan, easy cleanup
Bought the pan to make an easy angel food cake (1 angel food cake mix, 20 ounce can of crushed pineapple with juice, 1 cup sweetened coconut- mix, bake following cake instructions). The pan works perfectly and cleans up easily

Sturdy, worked well
This angel food pan worked really well! I have never previously made Angel Food Cake before, (I've been too scared), but after using this pan to make it the first time...wow. This pan made it a cinch! The cake turned out amazing, and only took 30m-1hr to cool before I could remove it from the pan. Nothing stuck and ripped...the cake turned out a beautiful shape, and the pan was so easy to clean with a washcloth after soaking for a bit! Angel Food Cake may be fussy, but this pan makes it do-able for even the novice baker!

Poorly-Designed Pan
This is a very poorly designed pan for three reasons: 1. The height of the tube section is less than the height of the pan (including the “feet”), meaning that, when the pan is inverted for cooling, the cake pan is supported only by the feet and not also by the tube. Because of this, my cooling cake “bottom”, while still attached to the tube section, separated from the pan and sank down about a half inch, compressing the cooling cake below. 2. The rivets attaching the feet to the pan are not flush to the inside of the pan, preventing a knife from smoothly separating the cake from the pan. 3. The pan is too light and flimsy to prevent leakage and can warp with handling during cleaning, making future leakage more likely.I have read many reviews about the pan having been received already warped and dented, resulting in leakage. This is probably due to the lack of manufacturer-provided protective packaging. Mine arrived in an Amazon box with each piece in its own plastic bag, free to bounce around inside the box and bump into each other in transit. If this is how they were shipped from Indonesia, where they were manufactured, it's surprising that they weren't dented more than they already were. Poor design, poor execution and not worth buying. The Cook’s Illustrated website rates this pan as “Not Recommended”.
