Good For Making Kombucha
The packaging could be better when it comes to the glass top that goes on the container. It came, I opened the top of the box, noticed the top styrofoam(or styrofoam-like substance?) was extremely thin. Removed it to find the glass top broken.I bought this to upgrade from my old tiny ceramic crock that I make kombucha in. For that you don't want a top. You want a lint-free kitchen towel and a rubber band on top to let it breathe. Honestly, this saves me from trying to find a place to store the lid that I will probably never use. I'm not angry. I don't want a replacement. They even have who to contact if you hear broken glass before you open the box right on the front of it. (There was no sound of broken glass before I opened it.) Very convenient. The container is lovely. The base is beautiful and stable. The drip tray is solid and can hold a decent amount of liquid. The spout is the same generic metal spout you find for many of these dispensers/crocks. It's a good metal spout. Doesn't leak. I have several and have never had a problem with any of them. At the top there is a significant lip which helps catch the rubberband and makes it much harder for the towel on top to pull off.Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase. Will update after a few months/years if anything changes or wears out. Or if it's just chugging along like a champ.

Beautiful, sturdy & perfect size for parties.
I broke my previous beverage dispenser and looked at many before deciding on this one. It is perfect. It holds enough for a large or small party so I don’t need to refill it. It enhances the decor rather than detracts from it and has received compliments from my guests. I highly recommend this.

Nice for continuous Kombucha
We are very happy with this set up. It is so pretty. We're using it for continuous Kombucha brewing. I love the label so I can put the date started in chalk, but obviously once it gets going I wouldn't need that. Can use it for parties, too. Happy with my purchase. It arrived in perfect shape. I am not using the lid at the moment because Kombucha has to breath, but the lid is attractive, too.

Works well for us, and looks great!
Works well, except the liquid below the spout never gets used (because, physics), and it is too cumbersome to tilt to get more out. We still use it anyway, but feel the need to clean it more often due to the drink stagnating at the bottom. We also appreciate that, if the spout was lower, then the entire thing would have to sit higher to allow the container being filled to fit under it. That would make it unusable where we have hit. Pros and cons. It looks nice so, for us, it’s a keeper.I wanted to add one thing… you need to put a small spacer under the lid (or cut a notch out of the rubber seal) to avoid a suction being formed, which slows the flow dramatically as the liquid level decreases. Again, physics.

Nice, but the spigot placement is too high.
You can see in the photo that the stand has a slot that the spigot should fit into. But, the spigot doesn't even go into it because it is place too high on the jar. So, when the liquid is getting near empty, there is still a lot left in the bottom when it can no longer exit through the spigot.

Trying this for continuous kombucha brewing
I've only had this for one day, but I've followed Hannah Crum's recommendations for setting up a CB system, and so far everything is working well, no leaks at the stainless steel spigot, and I've got my first batch started. I opted to start with a gallon of sweet tea and a a little less than a gallon of 7-day-old kombucha that I was batch-fermenting in half-gallon jars, plus the tart stuff from my scoby hotel. One thing I tested, and really like, about this jar is that, once the liquid falls below the spigot (and therefore won't come out), there is exactly one half gallon in the jar, or 25% of the batch. That will help me keep track of what I'm doing. To start this CB system, I put four mason-jar-sized fresh scobys in this jar, cleaned up the ones in my scoby hotel, and dumped everything that looked a bit old or too yeasty into my blender to mix up for my garden and chickens. I was doing a one-gallon Tuesday/one-gallon Friday batch brew routine using half-gallon jars with those neat Masontops kombucha lids, so I took the rings from those lids and combined them with the pickle pipe lids I used for various ferments and will now try large-batch secondary fermentation flavorings before bottling. A half gallon of one of these will yield four flip-top bottles, so now I can take my kombucha experimentation to the next level. I'll probably put a raisin or some ginger into the bottles to boost carbonation post-flavoring.The only thing about this beverage dispenser I don't understand is it came with a black octagonal-shaped trivet-looking thing with four bumps on top. The only thing I can figure this is for is to sit the lid of the jar on. That's just what I did, opting to put a coffee filter and a rubber band on top for kombucha air flow. The lid has a nice silicone seal, and I'm sure I will use it over time.

Really surprised by performance
Not “yet” one of the top containers but it sure performed admirably. Love the quality. It’s easy to clean by hand. Comes with a nice stand. Will be a second one before the next big party.
