Paris Street Style: A Coloring Book (Street Style Coloring Books)

Best Zoe de las Cases coloring yet! Beautiful binding and no marker bleed.
I anticipated this coloring book release for at least a month, and I am luckily not disappointed in the slightest. This has become my new favorite coloring book (even beating out the highly coveted Secret Garden!). I have Zoe de las Cases's Secret Paris book, but found myself being more interested in the fashion and beauty spreads in that book than the architecture scenes. Paris Street Style took all my favorite parts of Secret Paris but left out the things I didn't.The drawing style is similar to all of her other books: a sort of sketchy line style (see pictures below). It's still easy to color in but the hand drawn style feels more authentic, like you could be a chic fashion designer working on your next line. There are five main types of pictures: head-to-toe fashion looks as worn by people, "spreads" of different clothing or beauty items together (see the skirt example below), artistic-y headshots with inspirational(ish) quotes, some vintage-y patterns and a few scenes. The scenes are my least favorite just because they tend to be very zoomed in on buildings or architecture, but the variety is nice.ALSO: the paper (and book) quality is A+. Unlike my Secret Paris book, I can actually use Staedtler Fine Liners in this book without bleed through. The paper also seems to have less grooves than other de las Cases books, so my Prismacolor Premier pencils seem to lay down color with less white sticking through. The book feels so nicely bound. You can spread it flat without cracking the binding, and there's a black ribbon that you can use to mark your place. It also has a rubber band to hold it close, so the book retains the shape. It's a little oddly sized - square, but slightly smaller than a normal coloring book but not really what I'd call journal size, either.I cannot tell you how amazing this book is. If you're a fan of fashion, beauty and whimsy, you have to grab this one.

What I love most about this book is the thickness of the ...
This colouring book is very ideal for the person who loves fashion and loves working with simple designs. What I love most about this book is the thickness of the paper. I have worked with this book for over a month using mediums such as staedler fineliners, various brands of coloured pencils and markers (faber castell, crayola, stabilo, papermate, sargeant art) and none seem to bleed through the paper. Even when a little pressure is added to the paper for the layering of colours, it seems to hold up. I have even tried to use water colours on some of the backgrounds and it does not destroy the paper.Paris Street Style contains various pages which display a collage of items such as clothing,, hats, makeup, bow ties, shoes and hair accessories. It also includes various illustrations of designer stores and restaurants and various buildings found in Paris. It also has wallpaper type pages and illustrations of girls in fashionable outfits. What is interesting is that none of the faces of the girls are portrayed in the book which makes one who cannot draw or colour faces a little more comfortable. An interesting feature is the inclusion of a ribbon page marker and an elastic attached to the cover to keep the pages together. This helps in keeping the pages together after having the book open for a while after colouring. The black and gold cover is also of good quality which is thick enough to prevent any folding and creases on the edges.I recommend it for all those who love the colouring hobby

Absolutely Gorgeous Book
I've ordered many adult coloring books (I'm kind of addicted) and this is the second Zoe de las Cases book I got through Amazon (these are hard to find and I was on a waiting list for this one). 100% worth the wait! I will be ordering all of her books. They are very well made. The paper is beautiful. The cover of this book is absolutely gorgeous in person. The picture does not do it justice. There is even an elastic band around it to hold it shut. It is quite exquisite looking and will be on my coffee table. It looks like you bought it from Paris Fashion Week. It is smaller than most books, but that is also what I like about it. I've never reviewed any book before but this one well deserves it. You won't be disappointed. I also purchased her Secret Japan book and liked it so much I bought a second one. I will most likely be buying another one of this book for myself and would also make a great gift idea! I'm loving Amazon Prime!

Great Quality & Illustrations
This is really enjoyable coloring book, and I will be buying Tokyo or New York Street Style as soon as I finish this one. The clothing illustrations range from simple to sophisticated, and the street illustrations are classic French scenes. The paper is extremely high quality, and I am very picky about paper. Since there are drawings on both sides of the pages I keep Crayola tracing paper between the sheets to prevent the color rubbing off onto the next page. (I love the sheerness of Crayola tracing paper.) it’s definitely worth buying!

C'est magnifique!
I enjoy the light-hearted charm of this coloring book. Some of the pages are a bit of a challenge as the lines disappear and you really have to just go with your own imagination as to where one color ends and another begins. But that's part of the charm...self-expression. So pour some espresso, pull out the watercolor paints, and listen to some La Vie en Rose as you bring color to les rues et les shoppes of Paris!

Perfect, beautiful and sophisticated coloring book
Nicest coloring book. Great size - square shape and a bit smaller than most. Sophisticated design. Gorgeous and varied drawings. Although same pictures as the UK version (Parisian Street Style), this US version is so much nicer due to the size of the book (making it less cumbersome to use than the UK format and than most other coloring books) and the nice journal type design with an elastic around the outside. I much prefer to color pictures than abstract designs and much prefer drawings that are not so overly detailed that they become stressful to color; the drawings in this book are perfect for coloring. I am less of a fan of the fashion designs to color; the Paris store fronts are my favorites.
