ACDelco GM Original Equipment 214-2317 Vapor Canister Purge Valve

This is an original GM product. I have a 2012 Chevy Cruze that needed the valve replacement. Dealership quoted too high a price. Learned that I could install this myself without any problems. Works perfectly!

I have a 2014 Chevy Sonic with an engine code P0496, "EVAP Flow During A Non-Purge Condition". This OEM replacement is way cheaper than going to your local auto store. Don't worry too much about the packaging as long as the part number on it is correct, 55 567 453.With that being said, this does work for a 2014 Chevy Sonic even though amazon states it is not compatible. This install can be tricky if you are not mechanically incline like I am but I sure still did it. Be warned, the blue plastic pieces that need to be removed are very brittle and so it the white one that took me a good 5 minutes to remove. I ended up breaking all the pieces but I super glued them back together.

I installed this on a 2015 Chevy Sonic 1.8L. My car wouldn't start after filling it up. It was running extremely rough. It eventually quit running rough to drive home. The engine code was P0496. It takes 5 minutes to replace this part. You can test if the part failed by blowing in the tube. If air passes through then the diaphragm is broken.

It took me less than 30 minutes to swap this out on my 2016 Chevy Sonic 1.8L. Instantly fixed the P0496 CEL code for a high purge flow. The car had been having trouble starting after filling up the gas tank, now it starts up perfectly every time. Got this purge valve on Amazon for $20 bucks, while the exact same part is over $40 at the local auto parts stores.

Bought for 2014 sonic because the car wouldn’t start after filling the tank with gas. This was a cheap and easy fix and direct replacement.

Super easy to install. Took less than a few minutes. 2013 Chevy Sonic 1.8l car. It mostly resolved a rough idle issue I had. Did end up having to replace valve cover and connecting hose as well. Together, all 3 resolved rough idle issues.

Our 2011 Chevy Cruze LS 1.8L would have trouble starting after filling up the gas tank. I read that this is the part to replace when that happens. It is an exact original manufacturer's part made by Bosch and distributed by AC Delco for people who do not understand why a Bosch part is in an AC Delco box. It is the same exact part that originally comes with the car. It took approximately 3 minutes to replace as long as you know how to remove the clips on the PCV valve. No more trouble starting after replacement and the engine sounds a little smoother. Easiest repair so far.
