Purchased to hold a 4' wide, old fashioned screen door closed on our shop building that doesn't have a latch. We have a Boston terrier that learned how to bump the door to make it spring open so that she could escape and decided to try a magnet to prevent this from happening. I never dreamed that what we ordered would work so well. I ordered two magnets but only needed to use one of them because they are so strong the door feels locked on the initial pull! If you want a good, strong magnet then this is the item for you!!! Nice!

The magnetics are very strong for my 2 pantry doors. I put Velcro soft side strips over the door strike plates to make it much easier to open and close. The Velcro also makes it much quieter when closing. I used packing tape to hold all the items in place while I hand screwed them into place.

I have a big carriage door, built roughly 1910, 4'wide x 7'6 tall, which wasn't compelled to close on it's own. This did the trick!

I used this in my cabin to keep the pantry door closed. It's a pine board cabinet. They are magnificent. It now closes with the lightest push and snaps closed. It opens just as easy.
