A few notes on this product. I am and have been a mechanic my whole life and I am now 60. This is a project that you have to be patient and watch U tube or just look at the product and see how it works. The locking mechanism for the cross bars are fairly simple if you see how the cross bar was designed. the screw on the end of the cross bar has to be loosened each time you try to make an adjustment to the length of the cross bar and then be re-tightened each time you put the end caps on. It takes a bit for the first one to be adjusted but once you get the first one done it gets a lot easier. Great product and I would buy it

it's nice..looks great but. not sure how strong it will be once I put some weight on it. I had to extend it to its last hole to fit it on my kia seltos

Used for about a 4000 mile round trip with a roof top carrier. It was NOT overloaded and the bars fell apart. It had beach umbrellas, boogie boards, empty light weight cooler, beach chairs and a light beach cart. It was good for most the trip and must have broken within a few miles of the house otherwise the roof would have been a mess. Or the sun roof could have been broke. The only reason I bought this was because I could not find name brand bars like Thule on Amazon. I have run Rhino Rack, Thule, and Yakama and never had an issue with a load falling into my roof.

Let me start with what I like. The value is great compared to OEM crossbars being between $500 and $600 depending on where you buy them. Seems sturdy enough for my needs since I'm not carrying anything heavy. The fit is good for my car and they seem to hold tight enough on the OEM rails.As far as what they are lacking...let me suggest that someone tell the manufacturer to make better instructions. The ones that come with the unit are not only incomplete, but there's nothing on them about how to make any necessary adjustments. The photos are small and dark and even blowing them up onto 11x17 paper was no help. Fortunately, I am very mechanically inclined and was able to figure them out. However, if you are not a real DIY person, spend the extra to either have someone install these for you or buy the OEM hardware. If I knew there weren't any good Youtube videos for these, I would have made one as I installed them. I came this close very close to returning them.

Instructions are lacking but they work as described.

This car rack fits my car but the installation is not very easy. One of the screws did not screw easily all the way. It serves its purpose but we had somewhat heavy gear and it came loose with the wind against the car.

The crossbars are good and the price can't be beat, especially when comparing it to the ones sold by KIA. They are not the most adjustable, but it can be done to an extent. They fit well enough and I think they look good. I have no noise issuesDISCLAIMER: the instructions are horrible (like other reviews said). I downloaded the PDF instructions from Amazon and those were far more detailed and helpful.
