Love it in spite/because of its faults -treat it like a toy.
It winds up with about 6 turns, which is crazy (I'm in my '70's, I grew up with this sort of clock, this is like an aliens version of a wind up alarm clock) and winds down from between 24 hours (first wind) to about 6-7 hours, currently. When its ticking it keeps good time. The tick is inaudible unless held close to the ear (a very bad point, in case you were wondering), the alarm is short and underwhelming. But I love it! No-one on the planet (including the Chinese) now makes an honest-to-god solid, cheap, wind up alarm clock , that will last a lifetime, an artefact that used to be as unremarkable and as ubiquitous as chips. So this German facsimile is hilarious. It even comes with instructions in German, in case you were wondering how to wind up a clock.

Clock loses time
I really wanted an old fashioned metal mechanical alarm clock. But right from the start the clock loses time, it doesn't illuminate in the dark and it has the loudest tick that I've ever heard. Ticking clocks are usually soothing to me - this stopped me from sleeping. It's not fit for purpose as it loses time and may not wake me at the right time.

Nice Alarm, plane simple
I like this alarm for its simplicity, no battery, just wined it when required. Set the time and alarm time and away you go. The bell on the is plenty loud, and it doesn't have a loud tick, it not bad looking either. I use it for my lorry alarm most mornings. You may have to adjust the time setting mine seems to run a bit fast.

Never to late
This clock is a return to the mechanical era when we did not need batteries. It is reliable and keeks great time , just remember to wind it up daily . The Alarm works well and will wake even the heaviest sleeper. Great little clock.

Not great!
Said it was as original as could be, but I could barely hear the tick (which is why I bought it) and it non stop gains but on the the back where the + and - is, the little piece of metal is already on the - sign so I can't move it to make it go slower. Altogether not too great.
