Worked, install instructions felt a little lacking
These adapters were recommended to me for my monitors. They worked great, and were easy to install, but the instructions felt a little lacking. The biggest issue I had was there's 1 long screw that appears to be used to help control the flexing of the adapter, but installing it wasn't in the instructions, and I missed it until the first time I mounted my monitor and it flexed forward farther than it does w/ the screw installed, and felt really loose. Once I installed the screw, it's much sturdier.Overall I like the adapter, and it works great for mounting your monitors to a VESA mount. Would recommend!

This actually works well
Works very well. A little expensive, but worth it if you are considering replacing the monitor with a new one. Im extremely happy i decided to try this before buying a new display at almost $500, which is why I gave it 5 star. As I see it, it saved me $460I had a different adapter for many years before and it was super wobbly. This one is far superior. Im genuinely surprised at how sturdy it holds the display. wish i could upload a video of me tapping and moving it.

(Updated) Stable with back screw, previously using DVI cable as a fasten belt, HDMI/DP to output.
(Updated to 5 stars) I am glad that I came back to this page and check other people's review after using this daily without the back screw for 2.5 years.. then I found I missed it, I may just throw it away. It is a customized screw. Contacted the customer support and quickly get replacement delivery. After installing the back screw, this VESA adapter supports by XG270HU quite stable in correct angle.---------------------------------(Old review without the back screw)I have to say they got the idea to design this and the base can exactly fit in my XG270HU. 4 stars for they really save me money to get a new monitor just for mounting. And the while stuff has a great sturdiness.BUT,BUT, BUT. the stableizer only help to prevent the monitor leaning back, but totally not helpful to stop the mounted monitor leaning forward, which is the usually case when you mount your monitor and want it to be in the height of your eyes. Who will install the monitor and lower head to watch it because the monitor is only stable when leaning backward. As a result, the monitor is easily shacking if you touch it or even push your desk. When I move one year after this purchase, I stared at the flat back of my monitor and found the solution! Since there is no hooking point on the back to let you tie or attached anything on it, the video output ports are the only choice. Luckily, DVI Port has two screws and this insure its stability. Shown in the picture, I plugged in the DVI Port and fasten the monitor to my mount rack. Now the whole structure are much more stable and the monitor won't shack when I move.Of course, I am using Display/HDMI port to output A/V

Danger to your monitor DO NOT BUY!
Connected it to my monitor it was a bit loose but others said that was normal I put it on the vesa mount and connected it to the arm. The moment it was on the arm it bent. The monitor almost did a face plant on my desk.DO NOT BUY! It is poorly designed, There is no way to hold the top part up at all, they did not even think to give a way to stick to the monitor properly. to help support it.If I could give a zero out of 5 I would. Returning this as it is a danger to own!

Works pretty well for an aftermarket adapter
Works pretty well for an aftermarket adapter. A little bit more screen wobble than I'd like, but the blame is more on Acer for not including a regular VESA mount, and not the fault of the adapter itself. Would have liked it if the adapter did not push the screen away from the VESA mount, but I'd rather have the sturdiness of the bracing rather than a compact adapter that may break (and potentially take my monitor with it).Overall, it's a pretty solid product. The welding is decent, though not amazing by any stretch, and everything lines up nicely.

Not the easiest to install, but it's the perfect solution for my Acer XG270HU
Bought this for my Acer XG270HU 27 inch monitor. When I bought the monitor, it was the only 144Hz one that fitted by budget, but with a downside that it didn't have a VESA mount. I didn't like the other outer-bracket type generic VESA converters out there. Came across this, and it looked like a tailor-made solution for the XG270HU. I was skeptical but decided to give it a try.It was not the easiest to install, mainly due to how hard it was to remove the stock stand from the monitor (that was not an issue with this product, but the how the monitor was constructed in general). I would suggest you get someone's help installing this, and it's a bit wobbly until you tighten the stabilizer. But after you tighten everything down, its very stable. I've mounted this on a North Bayou F80 arm, and after the initial adjustments I'm happy with how stable it is. The top stabilizer - although it only touches the monitor partially - helps a lot to almost remove any wobbling.Fair warning when installing (This is not an issue with this product), I managed to slice my finger while trying to remove the stock mount from the XG270HU. So, be careful there.
