A Christmas gift for my nephew who loves trucks that haul. Is very well made and a good size.

I've noticed that a number of reviews comment on how small this set is or that the car and truck and out of scale with each other. First, on other sites, this is marketed as a diecast collectible model, albeit, not a premium collectible. Even though here it is marketed as a child's toy, in my opion It is not a child's toy. And, I would be careful buying it for a boy younger than 8 or so. On other sites it is marketed as a 1:50 scale diecast which is a popular size for "O" guage trail layouts which in the US is a true 1:48 scale.One reasons the car looks big on the truck is that in some parts of the world (not USA) the tow trucks or rescue truck are based on smaller trucks. But, the car and truck are both 1:50 scale. I have to admit that Chinese manufacturers are not as concerned with true scales as American & European collectors are.I have this model and purchased it on another site. I purchased mine to remove the moving and tilting bed and put it on a 1951 Ford Pickup model. I love tow trucks, transporters, and car carriers. I collect 1:50, 1:48, and some 1:43 scale models and this truck set fits perfectly in my displays. Again, it is not a premium model, but it is cool none-the-less, especially the sliding and tilting bed.

Too expensive for a little truck $5 elsewhere.

So I didn’t pay attention to the scale of the car. So I thought that it was a regular size kid toy car well I was wrong. It’s very small fit in the palm of my hand. But my son still loved because he now has a truck like daddy.

My 3 children couldn't wait for this tow truck & car toy to show up. It was an early present for them that they picked out. It arrived quickly but after opening it my 1 son was slowly driving the car back & forth on my craft table where I was sitting. All of a sudden he asks me to fix it cause the wheels stopped moving, I look at it to notice the tiny metal bar that holds the front wheels are bent as if the car had been stepped on by a adult. How does this car break only after my son had it for a few hours & all he was doing was slowly driving the car back & forth on my table where I was sitting? His disappointment was very hard to watch.We will be buying another tow truck now in hopes he can be happy again

I ordered this for my Son who is Disabled and wants to be a Tow Truck Driver. When I showed him the picture he got all excited and asked if he could get it. We looked at the pictures and description together and he couldn't wait for it to arrive. I knew it wasn't gonna be big, but wow...When we opened the package together, we couldn't believe how small it was. It comes with a matchbox size car on the back and the tow truck isn't much bigger. The truck does everything it says it does, the back flatbed part goes up and down and the bottom of the bed moves in and out just fine. The truck is made of metal and some plastic but seems to be made very well and is very durable. Did have a little trouble at first with lifting the flatbed, didn't want to lift, seemed stuck, but just had to give a little pressure and it moved and now works good.Comes with a matchbox size car on the back, made of metal too. Doesn't want to stay on the back of the truck very well, probably because it's almost as big as the truck.MY OPINION: For the price, I believe it could have been bigger, seems a little high priced for what was received. Star removal is for price and size.
