I am super happy with this dress. It fit my daughter so well. She is 7 years old, 4’2” tall with a waist of about 22.5” and 23.5” chest. We ordered her size 6-7 years, tag size 120 and it fit her like a glove. The dress quality is excellent, but it did need ironing (it was rather cumbersome due to ruffles and the way the liner skirt was sewn to the outer skirt).I did end up adding more embellishment to the bodice as the traditional Russian dresses often have a lot of flourishes or trims and this dress felt a little bare without it. I was a little disappointed in the head piece (Kokoshnik) though. While majority of embellishment looked stunning (for a costume), the pearl trim was glued on with lots of hot glue and looked very sloppy. I wish they had sewn it own, or skipped it altogether. Also, what I got is not an exact version of what is depicted in the product photos. Our kokoshnik was a little more narrow in shape and only had one strand of pearls. Small tip: if you do get this dress, for an authentic look, the Kokoshnik is usually worn with the ribbon tied low under the hair, like you would a head scarf.That said, I am still thrilled with the dress. I had initially considered making my own but it would have cost me a lot more than this dress set. I would definitely get this dress again if there was a need.

Beautiful dress. Got it for a school play. Well made and looked beautiful on my granddaughter.

I absolutely loved this traditional dress and the questions my daughter asked. We learned more about the dress and country. I highly recommended this dress up dress. I was impressed with the fabric quality as well. A very beautiful dress.
