Good Suction, Good Seal, Meets Expectations
After using the Mesliese VT6120 for a few days, this is a great vacuum sealer. I bought it to replace my 13-year old Foodsaver which wasn't working as it should. I did a lot of research before purchasing this, and my criteria was:1) good suction, with kPa advertised2) wide seal or double seal3) ability to seal mylar (I understand it won't vacuum the smooth mylar)4) hose for canisters/mason jars5) removable drip tray6) good warranty7) reviews of good customer supportSome of these criteria I could only find by searching the questions & reviews, but for the Mesliese, most of these were found in the manufacturer's description. After reading the product descriptions and reviews, this Mesliese appeared it would be a good one, and it has met all of my expectations. The printed manual included with the product is very nice, and I didn't have to go online to find it.I've vacuum-sealed several different types of things, and all goes well. The vacuum is strong (when desired), the double seal is firm and clearly well-sealed. The machine came with 2 bag rolls, and the manual indicates that one is co-extruded, the other is re-combined. However, these rolls were not marked in any way and I don't know which is which. One is a bit smoother than the other, and I think this may be co-extruded, which is supposed to be better quality based on my research. This machine is slower than my previous one, but is also quieter. I think that the slower speed may provide a better vacuum and a better seal. One thing I really wanted to do was to seal 7 mil mylar bags (7 mil on each side, these are thick!). By pressing the seal-only button 2 times, this makes a good, strong seal. There are a few hacks on youtube to get the smooth mylar to vacuum-seal with this type of machine by placing a small strip of the channeled plastic from the bag rolls near the top of the smooth mylar bag prior to vacuuming/sealing. (You'll have to look this up.) This hack works with this machine and the 7 mil bags, however right after vacuum-sealing, I placed a stronger seal above the strip of bag material just to be sure the seal would hold. This has held now for several days and I'm confident that it will remain sealed for years to come. This will be especially helpful to store foods after freeze-drying.I only wish this company would make and provide canisters for marinating. They are hard to find in a size/shape I want, and expensive. I've ordered some (yet to arrive) and hope they will meet my expectations.

Great Vacuum Sealer
I have used a variety of vacuum sealers for over 20 years and have a lot of experience with them. I never found any that were even close in quality and features to the sealer from Mesliese. In my opinion, this is the Rolls Royce of vacuum sealers. If you re fussy about your appliances as I am, this is the one to get.I have a small family and vacuum seal a lot of food that I prepare in bulk, (meat, cheese, vegetables, and fruit etc.) and I freeze a lot of these vacuum sealed,As I said, I have used and tried a lot of other sealers and returned many when I found that they were just not good enough for my use. From my perspective, Mesliese seems to have thought of everythingThe Mesliese sealer has all the features that I want and need. The vacuum is great. All the air is removed when sealing. The double seal really prevents leakage long term. The unit has a removable washable tray which can catch liquid when sealing and it even has a separate removable container on the bottom to catch anything that gets past the tray. Most sealers require a fairly long cool down period after each sealing. Not this one. It just keeps sealing with no cool down delay.I use the pulse setting for sealing left over crackers and chips and just remove enough air to keep them fresh when stored, and I use the canister setting for storing ground cheese in ball jars. It keeps them fresh indefinitely. The sealer has a unique handle at the side which locks down the unit for sealing. Very easy to use and does not stick up from the top of the unit. The sides and top are magnetic for holding markers etc.I had a question about the unit and when I contacted Mesliese by email they responded immediately and graciously resolved the issue. Not only is this a superior machine with a 5 year warranty, but Mesliese is a remarkable company, that gives the consumer more than is required. I cannot recommend the unit and the manufacturer highly enough. I know that this rounds like a paid review, but I did not receive any compensation. I just love it!
