Dangerous
The media could not be loaded. We recently bought 20 of these knobs to re-outfit our home, but after tonight, we’re removing them all. We’re also just past our return window. My elderly mother-in-law got accidentally locked out of her room, and after a long time and nothing—not a hex key, bobby pin, or any other tool—could unlock the door. We had to saw off the knob and drill out the mechanism just to get it open.To test whether this was a fluke, we tried unlocking several others we had installed—only one out of many could actually be unlocked from the outside. That’s an unacceptable failure rate.The knobs were installed correctly. This product poses a real safety hazard and could be dangerous in an emergency. Avoid at all costs.
