Microplane Artisan Fine Grater, Green

Bought this on Amazon, from the Handy House, I used it immediately, (which is today by the way,) I usually grate lemon peel and have to constantly watch for too much pith in the gratings--this was amazing--I found I could get the very top layer of peel which is the vibrant coloured layer--and also there is still a layer that is peel and still not the pith!! The gratings are not mush either, they are very tiny fine ribbons, This really is a fine, fine grater! It doesn't slip and it's the perfect size too. I may have to get a couple more with different size blades. I haven't paid a ridiculous sum either. Fantastic.

Boyfriend wanted one of these. I failed to understand what could be so good about a grater that they could get away with charging over a tenner for it. It doesn't even have more than one size on it.However, after using it, I completely get it. It's so sharp and so fine that grating parmesan is now an effortless joy. As a result, we've been having a lot more parmesan on things, which can only be a good thing.

I bought this to replace a previous grater which seem to have become blunt over time. It's a good grater and it looks good too.I saw comments in reviews about it being very sharp and needing to use the 'guard' it comes with when it's the in the drawer... well I lost the guard the first time I used it. I think my OH thought it was just packaging and threw it away! But that doesn't seem to be a problem at all, I'm aware it's sharp so I handle it with caution.

Very good value for money. Not a fine grater as other from the same brand but definitely more sturdy. Use it in professional environment and it does it's job.

I came across this grater in a self catering villa in Italy of all places. But I was so in awe of how it made short and easy work of a card hard lump of Parmesan that I ordered one immediately. It is simply the best grater I have ever come across and I am off to buy the coarse one

I have wanted one of these microplane graters for ages but thought they were quite expensive but I decided to treat myself to one and I do not regret it. It allows you to get every bit of skin off oranges and lemons with little trouble. The only negative I have is that the grater is quite thin and whilst using it there is a slight dint down the centre. The grater itself needs to be upgraded to a stronger material. I can still use it.
