Boat came dirty
Opened the box appeared to be used or someone else had it. Numerous marks on boat and Styrofoam packing was broken in places

A good toy, not the most stable in wind...
Overall, most anyone would love to have one of these. It is a pretty solid toy. I have no issues with water intrusion or faults with the electronics. Water cooling is probably unnecessary but it does have it. I can't tell how difficult it would be to replace broken parts, but they are typical servos, motors and esc's. Speed is a mystery. I have read 30kph, 30mph, 40mph... I just don't know. Any chop in the water will result in a bumpy ride. I am happy with receiving 2 batteries. It looks great and has relatively good build quality. Most parts are plastic but they are thick and durable. For the price this is about what I would expect. You can spend more and get better, or less for worse. Your budget will determine your satisfaction.

Approaching hobby grade
For less than $100 you get a serious rc boat that performs like some costing twice as much. The 2212 brushless motor powered by a 3S (11.1V) 2000mAh battery really powers this through the water. They advertise 30mph. I've not timed it, but unless you have a pretty big pond or lake, this would not do. It would run out of room quickly. Of course is is balanced so that it always rights itself if flipped over. The 2000 mAh batteries give you a good 15 of water time, and they give you two, so you're good for half an hour of fun. Of course if you have extra 3S batteries as many of us RC enthusiasts do, you are not limited to that.

Fun fast boat
This a fun simple boat for any small or large body of water. The two supplied batteries are specific for the boat, so other batteries are not able to be used. The boat is great on the water and moves fast and has self righting capabilities. The controller is ok but does look and feel a little cheap with the trim function a little erratic when used.
