Awesome quality
I’ve been using the BOYA Mini Wireless Lavalier Microphone for a few weeks now, and it’s been a solid addition to my recording setup. The microphone is incredibly lightweight, weighing only 5 grams, making it easy to clip on without feeling cumbersome .The plug-and-play feature is a standout—just connect the receiver to your device, and you’re good to go. No complicated setup required. The 3-level AI noise cancellation is effective in reducing background noise, which is especially useful when recording in less-than-ideal environments .The AI voice changer is a fun addition, allowing for some creative flair in recordings. However, it’s more of a novelty than a necessity.

Very small wireless single mic/receiver, with odd 'disguise' effect
Unlike other wireless mics in this category. this Boya Mini wireless mic set does not come with a charging case. The set includes 1 transmitter1, 1 receiver (with a Lightning connector), and a charging cable that has a little dock for the receiver to clip into to be charged. The other end of the cable has a USB-A plug to connect to a charging source.I tested this microphone using a Samsung S22 Ultra and the Blackmagic Camera App.I deducted one star because even though I ordered a receiver with a USB-C connector, the one I received actually had a lightning connector. Fortunately, I already owned a compatible receiver that would work in my phone and so was able to test out the transmitter. The mic worked great with a nice full, warm sound even when standing 30+ feet from the receiver. The mic has 3 levels of noise reduction which all sound ok, but the best thing about the built-in noise reduction is that it can be completely turned off, which is my preference for general use unless you are in a particularly windy or noisy environment. The one strange thing about this set is that it has two options of voice disguise. One called 'Uncle' and one named 'female'. Unless you are in a situation where you are needing to hide someones identity, I cannot think of any reason you even want to use this feature. The Uncle lowers the pitch of the voice and alters it to the point that it is unrecognizable from the actual speaker. The 'Female option raises the pitch to produce a cartoonish sound, totally unusable except for very select circumstances. One other issue I had with the fake voice sounds is that it is hard to tell whether that feature is on or off. The noise reduction on or off is indicated by the color of the LED, A similar system needs to indicate whether the voice changer is activated or not. It would be unfortunate to record an entire interview only to find out after the fact that it is not usable because the voice has been 'disguised'The little LED light on both on the transmitter and receiver switches between blue and green indicating that the noise reduction is on (green) or off (blue), but there is nothing to visually confirm on/off status of the voice changing feature. I think this needs to be added in a future upgrade. The output level of the mic is quite high. If you are using an app such as Blackmagic camera, or FilmicPro, it is not a problem as those apps allow for you to control the input gain. If the app you are using does not have that feature, I fear that the audio may clip. Even between the transmitter and Receiver, you can tell that the signal is strong, as when it is brought into a DAW, the wave form have very even peaks which would suggest the signal was hitting some sort of internal limiter, even though when recording the meters in the app only peaked at about -12dBFS.Overall, I really like the sound quality and size of these mics. I am not really in favor of this type where the mic is the transmitter. I generally feel that they are too obtrusive in the shot. But if I must have this type then these Boya Mini mics are least very small.

Super Clear Sound – Compact and Effective for Close-Range Use
This super small wireless mic and receiver delivers super clear sound. The audio quality is great, and when I tested it with level 1 noise reduction, it cut out nearby fan noise while still picking up the wearer and another person talking about three feet away. The mic isn’t designed for long distances—in my testing, it started cutting out around 10 feet from the receiver.I really like the compact size, and while the charger is unique (which could be an issue if it breaks or gets lost), I love how the mic magnetically attaches to the charging cup at the end of the charger cable. It’s a clever design.I love this thing! If you need a high-quality, close-range mic, this is a fantastic option.

Boya Does It Again!
This BOYA mini Wireless Lavalier Microphone is made well, easy to use and very functional. It's small mini size doesn't take away any of the sound quality and it has a good range. It sync'd right to my iPhone 14 Pro and the sound quality was amazing. I have a couple other Boya wireless systems and as they are also great, this mini wireless is no exception. For the money and quality, it's well worth getting and I recommend it!

Make sure you get the right one..
I received the lighting connection one when the order said usb-c… so this is reviewing the lighting model. Connects easily, plug and play. Doesn’t detect as a Bluetooth device so the receiver acts through the software/hardware interface in some other way bridging them which I thought was pretty interesting. Easy to operate with a few click or click and hold functions. The voice changer is a silly feature but it worked fine during my short test.

Tiny and Powerful Tool
Needed something to plug into my phone for quick song writing sessions. This did the trick, The phone microphones seem thin and dont capture the right frequencies. But this thing was Perfect! Plug n Play and sounds really great for such a small little tool. Quality build is perfect to thrown in your backpack.
