Amazing value.
It took a long time for me to work out that there are actually very detailed tutorials with everything you need to use every part of this kit so it sat in the box. The tutorials are difficult to find though. It's basically a 300 page manual and all the code is also available. Apparently the link is on the box but I missed that. I think I googled for instructions and found them that way. I have book marked the document and I just click which experiment my son wants to do in the contents section and then print the relevant pages and download the corresponding code to the device.Great for my 9 year old who is interested in coding

Great kit and projects to expand the BBC Microbit.
A Great Kit. Very good tutorial. Had a small problem in getting the LCD working with the python code, but quickly sorted by the support department via email.Would highly reccomend if you want to start learning programming.

Pretty good
Some teething trouble with the LCD display (the backlight link had fallen off or was not fitted and was loose in the packaging). But otherwise largely "just works" - some difficulty getting the LCD library incorporated into another project but got there in the end.Kit relies 100% on the online microbit.org site and the editor on that site but it's pretty easy to use.Good so far getting the kids engaged on it.

Good customer care from Freenove
I ordered this for a Christmas gift. The order was for a FNK0045 which includes the BBC micro:bit. The box had the correct reference number on the cardboard sleeve enclosing it - but we were very puzzled when we inspected the actual parts as we had a kit with a raspberry Pi inside. On close inspection we found on the outside of the box containing the kit that we actually had a FNK0058 - which is cheaper. I thought about sending back to Amazon as a return and ordering the same kit again - but instead I emailed a photo of the sleeve and box to Freenove and they immediately put the correct kit in the post to me, and it arrived three days later. My son absolutely loves the kit and it is hard to get him away from it. He is ploughing through the manual using the visual programming instructions and once he has got to the end plans to do it all again in python! What is great for him is that it combines two of his favourite activities - making things and programming. He is 12, but I don't think he could have got as much enjoyment out of it when he was younger, so I would not recommend to an under 12. Having said that the visual programming language is similar to scratch that he learnt at primary school.Only minor quibble is that the manual is a ,pdf which is quite hard to scroll through.

Microbit IS NOT included
As much as I was excited to start this project with my son, I discovered the main part is not included and I need to order it separately. What is the point of buying this kit? As far as I understand, a kit is something that is complete and I should be able to use it. THIS IS NOT!!The first page of manual asking me to use microbit, but this main part is not included. Very disappointed and all my son walked away from the idea :(

Bad product
The link to the projects we're all not working because the file type could not be recognised. It was a gift for my son and as we can't access any of the videos it's not fit for purpose. Very bad experience
