I only tried it on, but feels solid and offers good protection, plus the vision is good. Would recommend, I got it for sparing in boxing and I have a feeling it provide the protection I need!Update: The vision to see below the eyes is impossible, for the full face style.

i like this headgear. It's lightweight and visibility is good. Velcro is super strong. I like the fact it doesn't have a chin strap. Easy and quick to take on/off.

I have a 22.5” head and ordered the XL. As soon as I put it on I could tell it was quality. I punched myself a couple times and didn’t feel it. I originally bought the Sanabul but that was tight all over and had absolutely no shock reduction. It also pushed my chin up making it hard to breathe. This Fairtex is great and I already do ordered their shin guards and gloves to upgrade my protection.

This headgear is really good!. I was concerned about my nose(i've got two surgeries in the past) and was looking for something to protect while not impairing my vision. HG13 has all of those features, and it is very light weight(you don't really feel it). Im 6 inches tall, and a pretty big head(58 cm, i bought the XL size), and i can tell you, this headgear protects my nose, my mouth, ears and eyes really well. I've received some strong punches straight on my nose, and i barely feel the glove touching the tip of my nose (very mildly, nothing to be concerned). Make sure you choose the right size for your head because that's what is going to protect your nose, if the size is too small, chances are, it won't protect your nose as it's supposed too. Great investment, don't cheap out!

This is the best headgear I have ever owned, worn, or seen, for that matter. I am 5'11 @180#. The circumference of my head above my eyebrows is 22.5 inches. I bought the medium size. Fits a little snug, which is how I prefer my fight gear to wear. As this product is all finely crafted from genuine leather, I expect it to loosen up a bit with a couple of weeks of hard training. My other Fairtex gear (4oz. gloves, shins) has been form fitted to my extremities, and has become an extension of my body. I assume the headgear will be no different. This piece of equipment provides excellent protection for the entire head and remains unobtrusive to the wearer's vision. Very streamlined design makes this gear a joy to put on and move in. One could even do some grappling with this gear on. The closure at the back of the head is very secure hook and loop, and ties in to the padding at the top of the head. Quite possibly the only headgear on the market pushing the envelope and bridging the gap between kickboxing and mma. TOP NOTCH PRODUCT FROM FAIRTEX!!!!! OSSSSSS!

This headgear is used for sparring (lite to heavy) with welterweights up to heavyweights at least 2x a week for about an hour. It has great protection, lite, easy to adjust to a perfect fit, and it’s the best looking one.

I use it for boxing. I LOVE this headgear! I'm 34. Played hockey and rugby. Need something that would adequately absorb shock as I'm starting to feel all those past hits catch up to me. I went through so many different head gears before I found this. I am very happy with the quality of this product. It protects my nose with out the full bar (was using a fighting sport headgear with the full face protection), although if I get hit right on the button I will still bleed, but the cheek pads keep my opponents fist from completely breaking my nose. Light weight. I also use it with a product called "second skull" which is a thick beanie soccer goalies use to give me a little extra cushion and keep my hair out of my face.

I purchased a sanabul headgear years ago but rarely wore it because it the mouth area was small and made it hard to breath. Peripheral vision was bad and it always moved when I got hit slightly.The HG13 has none of those issues! I wear contacts so I wanted to try headgear again and this was perfect. The cutout for the mouth area was large enough to breathe, they expanded the peripheral vision and it barely moves. It’s made of 100% leather so it will only mold better over time, don’t cheap out and purchase it!

Arrived much sooner than expected. Was exactly as described. I bought this for my daughter so we can spar at home during the pandemic. She likes the fit and quality. I’m still waiting on another head guard I ordered from a different vendor...
