I was very surprised with this little gadget. Having two boys who have no consideration to many things (puddle won't kill them, what's a bit of rain ...) this has been sent from high above! I set it on and by the morning the shoes are dry. The heat is very subtle yet works perfectly: none of the shoes unglued like they have when I used heaters to dry them. It is small and light so any hiker will be thrilled to take that with you. I wish I got it sooner!

Got these or the winter for my boots.FABULOUS!The time settings allow me to pop the warmers in and leave the boots to dry rather then having to check on them.The heat isnt too intense that I worry about them burning.great for all sizes of adult shoes & boots3, 6, 9, hour settings (perfect for the winter or wet weather)

I bought these in October of 2023 and it's now December 2024 so I think I'm qualified to write this short review.These are excellent, as I remember others have said, and the "upgraded version" which extends telescopicaly is the icing on and already excellent cake. In my opinion there's no risk of burning your footwear, as they are ceramic heating plates that gently produce a local-area warmth that does what it is designed to, dry footwear. The three-stage timer (3,6,9 hours) makes it auto-switch off after the pre-set time has elapsed. I've used it extensively on both slightly damp footwear and also trainers I've washed. In the case of the latter (soaking wet) I find I need to use the 9hour timer twice to fully dry soaking cloth trainers, but that's simply a fact, not a criticism of the product, and it is one of those items that you didn't know you needed until you own it. Going out on a frosty morning? Yes you could also pre-warm your shoes overnight I guess, but don't expect to warm a cupboard with this item, it does what it is designed to do, produce a flow of gentle heat in the enclosed space of footwear by the use of sealed ceramic heating elements. Would I buy these again, yes absolutely, the telescopic extension idea of the "upgraded version" adds functionality for larger (therefore longer) footwear, to spread the heat over a longer footbed. I wear a size 8/42 and extended it comfortably fills my work boot footbed, and not extended it easily fits my wife's size 4/37 shoes and I'd estimate that it'd be a snug fit in an adult size 3 shoe.....as a guide. I use this with the footwear standing flat on the floor, as opposed to elevated or upside down, remember the resulting warm moist air needs to vent out of the footwear for the warmth of the plates to evaporate the moisture.
