It's small and heavy. Not a good combination for backpacking

Another reviewer said "insanely solid built"... that's my reaction also. This is buy-it-for-life kind of build, from the gauge of the mesh to the welding.I got a small one but I'd feel fine putting a cast iron on a large one, and then some. If you scale this out to be the size of a cage it could hold a wilderbeast.Bag is really nice, the stitching by the top has a strand coming loose, but it's like really thick thread. Just gonna tie a stopknot and trim.Product punches way above it's class, esp considering cost of that Coleman pack grill. Don't buy that, you don't need legs, use rocks and you're good - better for cooking anyway. This is a great buy, great price, good work.

This is a tiny grate but is very heavy and robust. The thick canvas bag is also heavy and robust. Definitely not for backpacking. For one person camping this may work.

I wanted small grills for wood camping stoves I store at camping locations, but prices for small grills were too much. This 4.7" x 9.4" folding grill was a bargain. I used a dremel tool and cutting wheel to remove the welded pins. I now have two 4 3/4" (120mm) square grills for my stoves. Grills are very well made and the grill came in a nice cloth bag (separated grills shown on bag in second photo).

It's of very good quality. Should get many years of use from it and it fits inside my 14cm Billy pot perfectly for baking camp rolls ect..

Thought this was a full size grate for over a campfire- this is a tiny one for backpacking
