A versatile color
Payees blue gray USA wonderful addition to your palette. It is a versatile color used by it self or mixed with other colors. I like to use it for skies and seas. It is more striking than a plain blue.

Lives up to the hype
I had previously purchased a Daniel Smith 66-color testing page - but regardless of that Payne's Blue Gray is a must have in my palette. I have used it to paint night-scenes and trains - and it's very versatile in that sense. Not bad for cityscapes or other shadow applications. The tube I got was new with no visible damage - and not-previously used. It shipped quickly along with the other paints I obtained. I suggest giving it a try!

Wonderful Payne's Blue Gray watercolor from Daniel Smith
As with other Daniel Smith watercolors, this one does not disappoint, but lives up to the high standard of beauty either alone dark or light wash, or mixed with other colors to produce rich, deep blacks or grays for gorgeous shadows.

Great grey. I love payne’s Gray and always add a little blue to it. This payne’s Gray blue has some blue in it and it’s not quite as flat as plain payne’s Gray.
