I had a 4ltr tin from before that had turned brown so ordered a new one. I’ve prepped the area by scoring the paint to make sure it gets the job done however it seemed to be lacking strength/potency and needed a second and third coat to fully remove the paint…

It’s a well known product although no longer stocked by some large DIY chains. Still works as intended.

Excellent product, works in minutes and is always effective.I bought it for window sills and skirting boards. But in the past I’ve used it to help with restoring furniture and stripping back many layers of paint.The key to this is following the easy instructions and patience.You can’t miss it working as the paint bubbles. Use a good old fashioned scraper and you’ll find this product really easy to use.

I was hoping this item would make my life easier in removing oil based paint from a stone fire place that some doughnut had painted on in the past. Not only was this product ineffective it slightly stained the stone which needed then to be deep cleaned to remove. In the end I had to resort to a heat gun. Use a heat gun instead unless you like wasting money. You would need buckets of the stuff and even then you would still have to put the hard work in to remove old paint. Literally not worth £1 let alone £16. Absolute joke of a product.

OK, not great, do not follow instructions on the tin. As soon as it bubbles strip it off. If it dries you're buggered it doesn't do anything and you've wasted the product. No where near as good as used to be.

Very disappointed, I haven't used Nitromores for 20 years and this seems a lot weaker in strength than it used to. it took a thick layer to take off each layer of paint, leaving it for a hour each time. It was a lot of work. To take 3 layers of paint off of a door frame.
