does this product work without the hold on spray

Yes it does,you wont particularly need any hold spray at all (depending on your hair (type/style) a little hair spray goes a long way that being said,but just don't go overboard with it.

How many applications do you get from each pack?

Well I bought 3 just to be cautious and I still have plenty and I mean plenty left I’ve only ran out of one and that one in particular lasted about 7 months there about. (I have a patch missing on my hair line and a balding spot on the crown it filled both areas in that time)

How does this compare to the more expensive brands like Toppik?

I switched to this brand after using Topic. Imo, it is just as good. I have dark brown hair but buy both the dark and medium brown Beaver brand and mix them to achieve a better colour match. I would certainly recommend you give it a go and maybe save yourself a few quid. Hope it works out!

Does this damage natural hair?

Makes my hair very dry, that's about it really for me. But it works well as long as you can find the correct shade for your natural hair colour.
