Energizer E14 5.2 W, 1 LED SES (Small Edison Screw) Golfball Bulb

An E14 screw-fit bulb for my new desk lamp.It gives a more than adequate light for my needs. With a reasonable price and next day delivery, I have no complaints...

This LED bulb was purchased for a desk lamp. I was really surprised by the brightness of the bulb. It emits a powerful and beautiful white light for its size. The light has the appearance of a non-LED light bulb, yet it is using up a fraction of the watts to produce the same effect. There is no slow build up to full brightness. Full brightness appears immediately upon switching on the desk lamp. The old non-LED bulb is certainly a lot cheaper to buy, but in the long run you will save money as the LED bulb is using up a lot less energy. My son is using this in his bedroom every night during the dark winters months. He must be using it for a couple of months now and so far it just keeps going with no problems.

A nice warm colour and not too blinding. Buying 1 alone is not as much value for money as buying several in a pack. It should last a long time. Use surge protection so protect the bulb's longevity.

A more powerful and brighter version of some 25 W equivalent bulbs with the same fitting previously purchased and from a known and trusted brand. They are also relatively inexpensive when purchased in this 5-pack.They share good economy during use, far better than CFL bulbs of similar output, and also are rated for a longer lifespan - 15,000 hours. That could provide 3 hours daily use over 15 years. They also come with a 2-year guarantee should one fail within that timescale.These may be ideal for use in those small table- or reading lamps that typically use a 40 W incandescent golf-ball bulb for which these are a direct replacement. They do not produce any heat during use and are safe even with fabric lampshades. They may have a home in some chandeliers and other such light fitments should the normally-used candle bulbs not be available. If necessary, there are adapters that will allow them to be used in B22 and E27 fittings.

Paid for with my own money - these were not sent as a freebie.I've replaced some LE 4w bulbs that have started to fail after 2 years, with these 5.9w bulbs. I replaced one and turned the light on to compare to the LE. These Energizer bulbs have a redder tint to them compared to the yellow of the LE bulbs. To my eye the LE bulbs were closer to the colour to natural light.After a few days with all the LE bulbs replaced in my 5 bulb fitting, the redder tint is not noticable anymore. It may have faded with use, or we may not be noticing it anymore.They are much brighter than the LE they replaced (which were bright to start with!), however my Wife loves the extra brightness.All 5 I ordered worked straight out of the box, no dead bulbs like I've read about in reviews on other brands on Amazon.

Purchased for a small lamp in the bedroom. Perfect brightness.

Does what it says on the proverbial "tin". Arrived in great condition, something I was concerned about, but needn't have worried. All in all a great purchase.
