I would remove the old speakers first and look at the connection. Ford has been using the same plug for years.

Will this fit a 2012 ford f-150 xlt supercrew cab with the sync system

Yes this works for a 2012 Ford F-150 XLT with factory Sync. Keep in mind that although the harness will connect to your factory harness, the connectors may not fit all speakers, for example, I installed some MB Quart and the negative plug on the speaker was larger which meant cut off the one that comes with the Metra kit and add a larger connector.
