Exceptional Vein Detection Tool for Accurate Medical Procedures
First, I want to highlight how easy it is to use. The design is straightforward, and the instructions provided are clear. With just a push of a button, the device illuminates the veins beneath the skin, making them visible for easier access. This feature is especially useful for paediatric and geriatric patients, who often have more fragile veins. The LED lights are bright and adjustable, allowing me to work comfortably in various lighting conditions. I appreciate that it has multiple settings for brightness; this ensures that I can adapt to different skin tones and conditions. The clarity it provides makes a significant difference in patient comfort, as I can now perform venipunctures with greater confidence and precision.Another great aspect of this product is its portability. It’s lightweight and easy to carry around, which is perfect for busy clinic environments. I can easily slip it into my lab coat pocket, and it’s ready to go when I need it.The battery life is impressive as well. After several weeks of use, I haven't needed to recharge it yet, which is a huge plus for me. It means I can rely on it throughout my busy shifts without worrying about it dying mid-procedure.I’ve noticed a significant reduction in the number of attempts needed to draw blood, which is not only better for my patients but also improves overall efficiency in my practice. My patients appreciate the quick and less painful experience, and I have received positive feedback about the device from many of them.In summary, I highly recommend this product to any medical professional looking to improve their vein detection capabilities. It’s a reliable, easy-to-use, and effective tool that has made a tangible difference in my daily practice. If you’re considering investing in a vein detector, look no further—this is the one you want!

Failed after 10 minutes, 2 pin charger with adapter that did not fit.
Nothing good to say about this product as it failed after about 10 minutes. The first thing I want to mention is the IMO rubbish 3 pin adapter for the 2 pin charger, the 2 pin charger would not fully insert into the adapter leaving the chargers 2 pins exposed. ( see images ) Why on earth this product that at the time I ordered it was just under £150 does not have a proper UK spec wall charger is beyond belief IMO, as it is the adapter does not even fit in the box, it's just jammed in, it's obviously just an after thought so this product can be sold in the UK as far as I'm concerned. As for the device itself it has a ring of LED lights ( red and orange ) that can be controlled in 3 brightness steps either red or orange or both colours combined together. The light ring when pressed against the skin can show veins as dark lines, this worked for me but my testing had to stop after only 10 minutes as the device failed.Note, I'm a little confused by a couple of things in the instructions, it says to " disconnect the battery and keep separately in case of the Vein hunter is not in use for prolonged periods of time " but the label on the device says " do not open " and there is no visible way to open the device anyway. Not impressed by this product, nor the charger and adapter ( the adapter obviously being an afterthought and jammed in the box ) or the overall quality.

Needs 2 people.
I requested this item to donate to a children’s hospice in the hope that it will make taking blood and cannulation a bit less traumatic. The vein finder wasn’t charged on arrival and it took quite a while to fully charge. The information booklet is useful and it’s good that it can be recharged rather than requiring batteries. When I tested this product, I tried various orange and red light combinations and brightness. The best result was using both colour lights on high brightness. I did test this in daylight and I think it would probably be more effective in the dark. The device itself is very lightweight and doesn’t feel very substantial. The on/off button and the light buttons are quite poor quality and don’t feel very robust.I did try to take a photo of my veins under the light but I discovered that I’d need 3 hands to do that. The device has an open area so that you can draw blood/cannulate whilst lighting up the selected vein. However, this gap is very small and doesn’t provide much room for manoeuvre. In my opinion, there’s no way that one person could use this device on their own, despite the description photos showing that very thing. It needs one person to hold the device steady and another to draw the blood. I didn’t get the quality of image shown in the description but that could be because I tried it in the light.I will donate this to the hospice but had I purchased it, I’d return it because it’s not great quality for £149. I’m not sure why led lights cost this much because there really isn’t much to this device.

Quite poor quality
I’ve bought it to use as my doctor activity to help me in vein sclerotherapies. The plastic quality is really poor, alignments are not good. For the led system, it’s not as powerful as necessary… it can rarely help me for really superficials veins.Next time I’ll buy the original one which is really better quality.

Handy device for difficult veins
The media could not be loaded. I was interested in this as a member of my family works in a hospital and thought this might be helpful. Let’s go with the positives first as it’s difficult to get away from the astronomical price.Comes with its own usb charging cable and both normal and European plug. Also has a warranty which is handy. However, strangely the cable doesn’t fit in the plug?Has a red and orange UV light on it. This works when you place the device directly on the skin. We’ve been able to see both standard and tread veins. This means it can be used for either taking blood or IV drips. Now £150 for a light device is really steep. I’m not sure how many people would want to pay this amount of money.Price aside, this is a quality item that does what it says it will. Would be happy to recommend if it’s within someone’s price budget.
