For comparison, replacing the engine air filter is super easy!1. Pop the hood2. Locate the air filter box on the right side3. Push in the 2 side tabs so that the box can be pulled out4. Remove the old orange lined air filter.4a. For record keeping: Take pictures and compare filters. Also record odometer reading and date.5. Put new air filter in its place6. Slide box back all the way in7. Done!Yikes for cabin air filter! It's like the above but before I can complete each step, I have to complete mandatory side quests and defeat many mini-bosses to earn experience points to unlock the next step. It makes playing Metroid or Super Mario Bros a walk in the park. Just accessing the entire area is also like finding new ways to twist my body, arms and legs.Even after finally accessing the filter and replacing it there is also the work of putting everything back. I've never heard of playing Super Mario Bros or Metroid backwards but I already have a tough time shooting missiles at Mother Brain and evading Bowser.As I said, this filter works great. My air vents were sometimes producing a sour smell and I thought replacing the cabin air filter might get rid of it. Turns out I was right!I noticed this filter has less pleats than the original, which is stock by the way. Whether or not that affects long term performance I don't know yet, but as of right now my priority is to not have the sour smell and this filter is doing an excellent job.

Doesn't seem to eliminate the fungus smell we were experiencing. Disappointed with the filter.

Good quality. It appears I was the first person to replace this filter. I had been previously told there was not a cabin filter in a 1997 BMW 328i. The old filter was extremely dirty and stinky.

Fit perfectly in my e36 318is, didn't realize that my vents weren't blowing as hard as they could until i replaced this filter. Great thing to help your car keep you cool or hot easier!
