The Urantia Book: Revealing the Mysteries of God, the Universe, World History, Jesus, and Ourselves Imitation Leather – December 5, 2017

I really appreciate this book. I can either flip to a random section and read or choose what section to read.

'Urantia' is the name of our planet Earth in the spiritual world, and this book stands almost alone in its great detail describing the functions and habits of spiritual entities, especially Jesus Christ, and our proper relationships with them. The only other book I know of which even comes close is Meher Baba's God Speaks, which I also recommend highly for those of you who wish to plumb the greatest depths of your own spirituality and understand your place in the world. I haven't finished reading The Urantia Book yet but I will, slowly and carefully so as to not miss a single golden drop of it's wisdom. It makes the Bible seem like a children's book in comparison, one with half it's pages missing. The story of Jesus told in The Urantia Book is powerful, beautiful, and intuitively authentic, far more so than are the clumsy obfuscations of the Biblical authors who never even knew him but merely passed on the oral traditions they recalled after many iterations of what we would today call games of 'Telephone' nearly wiped out Jesus' actual message to us (Paul was the worst offender!). The Urantia Book will free you from the rusty chains of Original Sin binding you to the false cult-like atrocity of 'fear of the Lord' that you may be suffering from, along with it's attendant sense of guilt you could not possibly be responsible for, and leave you ecstatic in the Light and Love of genuine spirituality, for God and Jesus are not to be feared at all, but instead are best understood in terms of how they LIVE IN YOU! Do yourself the best good possible and approach The Urantia Book with an open mind and heart, and you will not be disappointed.

This is my second copy of the Urantia book. The inside [ interior ] content is, of course, the same. My first copy was the blue/white quasi-leather soft cover issue. The replacement is because of a accident with my b/w copy. I was happy with the first issue, but because of a clumsy incident at home I was left with no other alterative. The "Cambridge" Leather Soft Cover is, the beauty of the "exterior" appearance of the Urantia. The MOST important part is, of course, the interior content. But for just "looks" alone, the Cambridge is the looker. Despite the unfortunate problem at home, I feel this a up-grade and a blessed find. If you find yourself in a position to replace your copy of this book ... you can do yourself no harm by getting this issue. I can't say it enough, the content is THE MOST important reason to own the Urantia book, but IF ... as can happen, you need a "new" copy, you might consider this issue.

I was excited to get this book until I opened it. The pages are very, very thin, almost like onion skin paper. If you use it for study, any markings you make will be seen on the other side of page. The paragraphs are not numbered like the other book I have so had to number them all. I will probably just use this book for simple reading, not studying. It is a nice book though.

The leather Covert seems good and Soft, the paper is like bible paper and the Golden border on the pages is really appreciated in my case...i have a papal bible and its similar..with a lot of pages and knowledge.im open to every aspect of the creation and somebody suggested me this book and i buyed IT with no hesitation i resonated with the Word urantia....seems to me a Nice place to be...but Earth right Now as we speak Will be very funny...humanity in unity....until the best world we Will finale able to See....

This is a book you can open on any page and find something enlightening. It's a hefty read ( Nearly 2000 pages) but an extremely interesting read. Keep pen and notebook handy.

Beautiful soft leather cover. Pages are thin like a Bible, has a bookmark tassel thing. Just beautiful.The information within the book can have any cover, it doesn't matter. It's very important information.But the way this was made is wonderful💜

I brought this book after it caught my eye as a recommendation on my Amazon account, following a purchase of a Bible. I was intrigued by its claim to hold much information about the universes, history of our planets and solar system, and even of untold information about the life of Jesus, including details of his young childhood and teenage years.This book is huge: 2096 pages, or thereabouts, divided into 196 “papers” and a foreword. I made the mistake of trying to tackle the foreword first. Wow, this book is written in such a way as to bombard me with obfuscation to say the least. I am sure it coud have been written and presented a lot more better, or at least put into simpler language. My suggestion to those who do not hold a Ph.D in philosophy, or who are not a Ph.D student; skip the foreword for now. My brain was left oozing out of my left ear after reading it.I am currently at Paper 15 - The Seven Superuniverses - and so far it’s a fascinating read, with some difficult to understand information, but not nearly as so as the foreword. I have, however, noticed some inaccuracies in the scientific information given. Seeing that this book was apparently authored by divine beings with an intelligence and understanding of the universe that greatly exceeds ours, I am surprised that they made such errors.Whether you believe it is information supplied by divine beings, or you see it as the philosophic musings of a man, the Urantia Book is a vary interesting read indeed.The quality is vary nice - sturdy “leather” cover with thin “Bible paper”. Paragraph reference numbering is ext is not present in this version.One last piece of advice - read this book slowly, and when you have no distractions about you. Oh, and have a good dictionary by your side; you’re going to need it.
