Results improve over time... better and better!
I was hesitant to purchase this product because $30 for 8.5 oz is out of my comfort zone for shampoo. However, I recently started trying to shampoo my hair less, just twice a week now, so I decided I could justify the price is the product works well. I have only used it twice in two weeks, and I liked the results the 1st shampoo, but I wasn't wowed. Second shampoo, and the results are better and I imagine they will continue getting better.Long story short, I'm very pleased with my purchase and this has been the only "BLUE" shampoo I've been able to find. I like that unlike purple shampoos, it has NO RED, which is what I'm trying to tone out. Wish is price point was lower, but so far the quality of the product has justified it. Might even purchase the conditioner.

Combining colors
I got this to take out the bronze and golden hues of fading semi-permanent brunette color. The first couple times I tried it, it really dried out my hair, to the point that I didn't plan on ever using it again. Then, I had the idea to combine it with John Frieda shampoo for brunettes. That did the trick; it softened my hair and deposited cool brunette color.

My medium porosity hair loves this shampoo!
Here’s my routine with this fantastic shampoo that gives me soft, manageable, BROWN hair without brassiness: once a week I shampoo and condition. After wetting my hair for a good 2-3 minutes I apply the shampoo liberally and massage it all over my scalp, and gently apply it to my actual hair. Then I cover it with a cheap plastic shower cap and shave my legs and listen to music for 5 minutes. Sometimes a few minutes longer. Then I rinse and rinse some more. Only with cool water. Remember: any shampoo left in your hair will keep the conditioner from working its best. After the shampoo is all rinsed out I apply the conditioner from my ears down. Conditioner any higher than your ears will weigh your hair down. After 5 minutes I rinse with cool water until I feel like the conditioner is all out. Then I rinse for one more minute. After all that I’m exhausted lol, but my hair is not brassy, it’s a lovely shiny and healthy brown. I blow dry it on low cool and then I go about my life, knowing that even when things get crazy, like they often do, at least my hair looks good. And that gives me confidence. I hope it does you too.

So so
Not great... I have light/medium brown hair with balayage. My hair gets brassy and orange really easily so I was hoping this would help tone between colorings. It works a little but not very dramatic results. I have tried leaving it in longer but then it dries out my hair. Probably wouldn’t buy again personally but it may work for others with less brass.

Didn't work for my hair & dried it out
I had my hair dyed brown professionally and I've been seeing a lot of orange/red and brassiness in my hair. I've been using this shampoo for about 2 or 3 weeks and it almost seems like my hair is worse. The shampoo didn't tone down my brassiness and it seriously dried out my hair. Terribly. Would not recommend.

I like it. Hair is nice and soft.
I didn't notice a big change in color the first time I used it but did the times I used it afterwards. I use it once a week and actually look forward to it. Leaves my hair nice and soft with lots of body. And the color is sweet too. I will be purchasing again.

It works
Definitely leaves hair soft. Stains hands but not too bad. Has a nice scent and if you leave it in for a good 5 minutes it works
