Would the electricity be suitable to use in the UK?

Not straight out of the box. I’ve ordered a transformer to use with this.

if this is a US import what is the power supply that comes with it is it 110 220 switchable or will it need a transformer?

I’ve bought it for my wife for Christmas and have just ordered a transformer. Plug is a moulded US 3 (grounded) pin style. There is a warning attached to cable that says not recommended for use outside Northen America and 120v maximum input.
