That is not all that is different - one label shows no added B vitamins and the other shows that it has added B vitamins which may or may not be synthetic and also contribute to a bitter flavor. Amazon needs to fix these product images to reflect what they are in fact shipping.

Q: Can someone explain how folic acid and b12 can be included in a yeast w/o fortification?

No, B12 is not made by animals. B12 is a bacteria that is found in the intestinal tract of the animals that ate that bacteria on their plant foods; however, if they have ever had antibiotics, it is wiped out. Same for us. That is why there are several vegans and non-vegans alike that are deficient in B12. For vegans, they can get it obviously from a supplement, or if they grow their own food and pick it right from the plant without washing it there will be tons of microbiomes on that food including B12.

Q: What is the yeast grown on? And Where?

Q: Why are the vitamin levels of the bigger non fortified bag different from the levels of the smaller bag per? The copper and zinc are especially high.
