Can a bottom panel be purchased for this product? Or an insert?

We found square flower pots that fit the boxes perfectly at the sides. I had to raise them up a little for the depth, however, by adding wooded blocks to the bottom of the pots.

So the bottoms of the planters are hollow? Ugh.

Yes, the bottom of each planter is hollow. It definitely has its benefits for being so. There is no rot to be concerned over from water absorbing in the bottom. Also, it is easy to move. I use the planter boxes as additional seating. I put two square wooden “boxes” in them, cut a 1/2” x18” square plywood, (laid on top of the “boxes”) ,and stained the plywood with matching exterior stain. I purchased two pillows, 18” each, and put them on each “planter”. This creates a useful bench about 7 feet in total length. Being diverse in its design gives the freedom for different uses.👍👍
