Spigen Neo Hybrid Designed for Galaxy S22 Ultra Case (2022) - Burgundy

This case is elegant and sturdy. I love that it is slim and protects my phone. I made a good buy.

I've been using this case on my Galaxy S22 Ultra since I got them both a year and a few months ago. It's done an admirable job protecting the phone. After numerous drops and general wear and tear it's gotten scuffed so I'm considering replacing - likely with a new one of the same model.Pros:- I am a phone dropper. Has protected my phone from a bunch of drops in the 3-5 feet off the ground range with no visible damage to the phone and only cosmetic damage to the case.- Fits really solidly onto the phone and all of the cutouts and button covers are well-aligned and feel good to use.- The main body of the case comes out beyond the screen on the front and the camera bumps on the back, so whichever way the phone is set down the glass isn't contacting the surface and scraping against any dirt. This has meant that my lenses and screen are still fairly pristine.- Looks coolCons:- For the first couple of months the metallic side was noticeably more slippery than the main body color due to how smooth it was. But it got grippier over time and never actually caused me to fumble with the phone.- The metallic gold does rub off, especially around the corners, revealing black underneath.

I got this case for my burgundy Galaxy Note 22 Ultra. I like the texture on the back and the color is great as well. The individual camera cutouts are nice, you only see a bit of the phone's original color around the flash and 2 smaller cameras. The gold accents are nice and compliment the burgundy color of the case, although the edges are a bit slippery in the hand. The back texture is especially nice, although I don't know how it will hold up over time. So far in my short use, it has not shown any fingerprints. This case fits on the phone VERY snugly and once it's on, it is a bit hard to get off, but that's a good thing. I feel this case adds very good protection to the phone.PROS:* Excellent fit on phone* Good level of protection - not a flimsy case by any means* Burgundy case color is very nice, gold accents look nice as well* Back texture is very nice and soft* Individual camera cutouts for the 3 large cameras* No glaring or ugly case company logos* NOT a fingerprint magnetCONS:* Wish the sides had ridges, as the side material is a bit slippery* Not sure if the gold accent color will wear off over time* Not sure how the back texture will wear over time* Quite stiff to get off phone once it's on (first time, at least)

I am a little biased in that I went through several cases for other phones and when I started buying Spigen cases, I never went back.The ridges are a fair balance of giving a surface that has a little purchase for your fingers but also slick enough to go into a pocket without a fight. Top and bottom bevels to prevent you phone face from sitting directly on whatever you set it on. Thin enough to use wireless chargers but thick enough to be sturdy. The slot for the S-Pen is maybe a little bigger than is absolutely necessary but it is not so large that I count it against the case. I will always prfer the cases that encapsulate the camera lenses, which this does.The burgandy perfectly matches the burgandy phone and the gold trim gives it a sort of Ironman appearance.

I have using these cases for a while now, and the look, feel, and protection they afford is second to none.

I'm giving this Spigen Burgundy Neo Hybrid case for my Galaxy S22 Ultra (2022) five stars because:1.) It looks great on my phone!2.) It feels good in my hand!3.) The materials used look and feel high quality!4.) It fits my phone, the pen is easy to get out and all the buttons work perfectly!5.) The edges are smooth BUT not slick (I think some reviewers may have confused the word SMOOTH with SLICK) nothing is as slick as those darn phones!6.) It is a very cleverly thought out use of materials, colors, and textures to the end of providing some protection for the phone.7.) It is manufactured, finished and inspected to a very high standard! Of the three different cases I have purchased, this is my favorite.

I originally tried the samsung case for my phone and that lasted only two months. I've had great spigen cases in the past for other phones, so I figured I'd try this one and hoped for better results. I've bought this case twice now. The first one lasted 5 months, the second one just over two months. Both times the hard plastic on the edges broke completely at the corner. This makes the plastic hang off and you have to remove all the plastic so it doesn't catch on anything. At that point, it's just a silicone sleeve around your phone. While the case is fairly inexpensive, the cost per month is really high when you do the math. In 9 months I've spent $75 on cases and I am about to buy another one. Might as well spend more money to get a case that lasts. Back on the search for a slim, durable case...
