Q: I heard it needs a subscription. Does it need a subscription to be used for just zoom and teams meetings apps?

No subscription is required for Meeting Owl 3! Only our Whiteboard Owl and Meeting HQ require subscriptions. All you will need to do is register your Owl and then enjoy your Plug-&-Play device with Zoom, MS Team, Google Meet plus many more video conferencing platforms.

Q: Will it work if placed two feets above the table

Probably not because it is calibrated for peoples heads to be at normal sitting height. The device has a 180 degree camera pointed straight up (looks like a fish eye pointed at the sky). Then it blacks out the ceiling and overhead lights and only focuses on the room activity at chest level and up to the height of people standing and walking around the room. If you elevated it 2 feet up, it may not be able to aim low enough to see peoples faces who are sitting at the table.

Q: Can I use a 50' usb 2 cable? Our computer sits in a cabinet and we want the owl on the conference table. We want to run some usb2 cable extenders.
