If preordered, are we charged now or when product ships for this item?

in my experience they always charge when it ships. I just receive a pre-order of a different item that was two months early, and I ordered it a few months ago, but I was not charged until it actually shipped. As far as I know that is standard Amazon policy. also the price shown is not necessarily the price you will pay when this is released. The item I pre-ordered was six dollars cheaper when it actually released and that was the price I was charged when it shipped
