Is this suitable for 2 year olds or does the water come out too slow for them? I have to get something spill proof so toddler can't make puddles.

I bought it when my son was ten months old and he is still using it very confidently at 14 mths. It works by suction when he sips so no flow is released otherwise - which means, he determines how quickly/slowly it flows. It is such a hit, we have two. :)Hope this helps. Can this be a DIY mask?

Sorry, I've got a silly question about this cup. Why the water doesn't come out when the rubber valve is on? I try to drink it, but nothing.

Hi Helen... Had a similar issue... And rated this quite low because of this...there's a technique which requires a tot to press down on the silicon rim when drinking and this releases the liquid... If they've used a sippy cup then transition to this isn't easy...hope that helps...

Are these cups suitable for hot drinks?

I work in food contact material safety, please don't use this (or any other plastics) for hot drinks unless it says it's safe on the packaging as chemicals (BPA is not the only compound to be cautious of) can leech out into the drink and therefore into your child! It's unlikely this cup has been tested for safety with hot drinks as it's marketed for toddlers. It may well be safe but please check the packaging if you buy it.
