Q: Can a 6-round loader like this be used just as effectively for 5-round snubby revolvers? Any problems with material overlapping itself in that case?

I use it with 5 round snubbies- Ruger & S&W. I keep 5 defense rounds and 1 rat shot in case I encounter an unfriendly snake.

Speed loader is faster but with practice you can be very proficient

.38/.357 Speed strips can be used with ANY revolver of the same caliber. I use it on my Colt Cobra and S&W revolver. The strips lay flat in your pocket so they’re not bulky. Good quality rubber and holds the bullets in place. Look no me, Bianchi makes the best speed strips. The Rock Island Armory 200 works like the Colt (clockwise cylinder rotation and pull cylinder release latch).
