I love the contrast of the dark lines and light metal, are the dark areas on the handles permanent? Or do they wear off with time or cleaning?

I have a previous set I've had for over 20 years and the dark part did not wear off so assume these will not do it either.

Is this newer version the same as those made over a decade ago? I've read they are stamped now and thin now. I'd like it to look like the pic posted.

I think they might be a tad bit thinner than what they were back then but they look exactly like I remember them and I actually pulled them out and compared them to the picture and they match perfectly. My mother had a set of these and I think that this set is perfect and beautiful. I love this pattern. I think you will be happy with it if you choose to get it.

What size are these? The smaller place-size/American or the larger continental/European?

These were very nicely crafted, heavy, with what I would call larger size, more along the line of my grandmothers flatware. 2 spoons, 2 forks and knife. I am very happy with my purchase and would like to get the serving set that I assume would go with it. Hope this is helpful

Where is Oneida manufactured

Used to be Oneida ny. The plant sold to American tabletop now the only made in USA silverware. New Oneida silvery is made in Vietnam
