Despite there's not a battery backup, fortunately there's an easy way to don't loose time setting when replacing batteries: the battery compartment is designed with 4 batteries and they are lined up in two separate rows, you can change one of them first and then the other. How to change from 24 time to 12 hour time?

On the back of the clock under the small “TIME SET” button you’ll find a “HOUR 12/24” button. Press it once and it will change the time from 24 hrs to 12 hrs or vice versa.

Has anyone tried mounting this to a wall, perhaps with double-sided Velcro, or by using the 4 corner holes in the back?

LOL, double-sided Velcro is really a marvellous tool. Kindly note the 4 corner holes in the back does not help mounting on a wall, they're just screw holes that help stabling the clock. Is there a low battery light/warning?
