Comfortable, size accurate, worth the cost and then some
I bought these for a trip and needed waterproof shoes. They looked so nice, I decided to use them for work (need black shoes). Now they are my go-to for work, pleasure, etc.The size was dead on accurate, and they are so ridiculously comfortable. The only "drawback" is that they tend to make my feet sweat a bit and that doesn't happen to me ever, but that's the only "negative".I'm considering buying another pair to have at the ready for when these give out in a few years.

2 week review and I think a worthy buy.
After two week use review. Good quality boot, look like a boot walks like a sneaker. No knee pain walking on concrete all day. Hardly tested water proofing so can’t answer that yet. My feet wasn’t drenched in sweat, so seems pretty breathable. Tread isn’t as aggressive as I’d like but isn’t bad. Shoe string are a tad long and the hooks on the boot are tight. So don’t know how long the strings will last, double knot them easy fix. Overall if they hold up the use/abuse I’ll rebuy them. Only problem I’ve had is my ankle sits right on the outside support so it sometimes rubs wrong.

Size is inconsistent; hopefully, the 3rd time is the charm but it wasn't
UPDATE: Got the 3rd pair of black boots in a 9.5 and they're still too big but I'm tired of sending them back so have added inserts and that makes them wearable. Again, I wear these in an office scenario...I wouldn't trust them to last in a construction applicationI'm modifying this review. Even though these are 2 entirely different boots, apparently the review will be combined. I purchased these in a tan and followed the size guide and ordered a 10 and it was too short so I returned them and got them in 10.5 and they fit okay so, being logical, I ordered a pair in black in a 10.5. Make sense? Not! They were too big so I returned them and ordered size 10 thinking they would work. Well they're still too big in both length and width...even with extra insoles which I took from my 10.5 boots and they were too small for these. Do I try for 9.5? Maybe, 3rd time's a charm, right? Now for the positive, they are comfortable and light-weight. I wouldn't say they're suited for hiking, unless you call strolling through a flat field hiking; compared to my actual hiking boots, there is really no ankle support and the laces tend to loosen up so that's kind of a pain. They're more like high-top sneakers with a tactical sole. If I wanted hiking or tactical boots, I'd get a pair of jungle boots but these are comfortable and light-weight and suit my intended needs. I wear them to work (not construction) and they'd probably be fine but with the plastic grommets, etc. I wouldn't trust them to a harsher environment but, again, that's not my intent. Now if I could only get a pair to fit.

Must buy
I bought these boots because I walk on concrete for 12-14hours. They are nice, durable and very comfortable. When I first got them out of the box I was amazed as how supportive they were due to me being flat footed. They gave me a new walk. Great great boots

For some faint idea of Average people's feet/ may work well for a few
Oh it fits (size 10" American), But far too tightly; very tight fit, which is great for the sides of your feet (stable secure, locked, hugging, amazing) but not the toe, not the heel not the arch suport. The issue isn't length (if I went up a half size it would not change the tight side toe squeezing much)... its a full super tight toe squeeze. I don't wear wide sizes and weigh about 200lbs at 5'10The heel is hard... The heel sucks, like walking on a hard concrete floor barefoot for hours.Inside Ankle bone rubs hard on inside stitching just under the 2nd from bottom upper lace hooks ( common in many weakly considered shoes):Leaving lace loose and spaced did not help much. However Great looking shoe...If only looks were comfort these would be winning. As it is too late to return, I will invest in a boot stretcher and see how that works.I hate to waste them or turn them into a used clothing dumpster.Another brand: "S******r's", Worked (works) perfectly, I should have stuck with them.My biggest grievance is the toe box, I even switched out the insoles for a brand C**V that it turns out is surprisingly good.... but not helpful here. the toebox is painfully narrow here (no give) and arch support is middling.I shouldn't have to remove my shoe several times for relief.Terrible experience; I should have been more proactive on the return.MY advice to manufacturer:wider toe box ( about 1/2 inch)More cushion and pocket for ankle bone ( less ankle bruising/grazing)Softer more layered rubber pocket on heel bottom ( firm but soft layering on insole and heel out-sole material)keep the good looks as much as possibleKeep the tight secure sides but only up to toe box (yikes)I shouldn't feel any hard stitching or reinforcement inside ( it should feel sneaker soft-like, smooth and soft)Other brands do this easily, but arguably not as attractive as this brand. I won't be investing in this brand again. This shoe would nearly be amazing if only for a few things.Hope they change.Good luck people.-------

Decent but still lacking
Decent boots for the price. They are somewhat waterproof, but only the bottom half. I work around water and my feet get wet, but not soaked. They do advertise that it's not all waterproof, but I still expected a bit more for being called tactical. I wouldn't wear them on any hikes that involve water. Plus they are in no way, shape or form slip resistant. You get near any wet or slick surface, and you will feel like you are walking on ice. They are cumfy, but I don't see the inside heel fabric holding up. It's glued on and the glue is already balling up and making uncomfortable pressure points where the glue has collected into a ball under the fabric. With all that said, they are the comfiest work boots I've had in a while. If it wasn't for the fact that it offers no slip protection, I'd buy them again. Sadly, I'll try another brand next time.
