The smell was disgusting and made the pillow completely unusable. I left it to air out for a few days which made no difference, I then resorted to putting it in the oven at 60 degrees for about 6 hours - this actually changed the smell and made it apparent it must have been left over bird parts attached to the feathers. I then left it in the oven at 70 degrees for about 8 hours, which made no difference. I then washed the pillow at 60 degrees with an antibacterial cleaner in the softener drawer and that decreased the smell slightly but it is still completely unusable and sitting on the floor in the corner of the room. I'm considering washing it with bleach but it's frankly ridiculous and disgusting to have to deal with. On top of all that I opted for the Goose feather / down pillow rather than the cheaper duck and the label on the pillow has checkboxes for duck and goose and whoever made the pillow didn't bother ticking any of the boxes so it's unclear whether I even received the correct pillow.

I bought some new cushions for one sofa and although the covers on the cushions on the other sofa were fine the innards had gone a bit lumpy. As recommended I bought the size up from the size of the cushion covers and they're great, no feather leakage and none of the smell I read of in another review. They've really given a second lease of life to the old cushion covers - all plumptious and snuggly. Good buy, would definitely recommend.

I bought these to go into some expensive covers thinking, given the feather contents and PRICE, that they would be thick, full, and soft pillows that would add a sense of luxe. How wrong I was. They are thin, skinny and make the cushions look like deflated balloons. Very disappointed.

They go beautifully on my bed and can be used as spare pillows when guests are here. They're very full and should last a very long time. For the price especially, these are outstanding.

I love these goose feather and down cushion pads. They are so plump and easy to "fluff up" again. Very good quality, cover double stitched, and no smell.

I sleep on this cushion as I have always had a cushion as well as a pillow for bedtime, I’m impressed with the comfort of this pillow; definitely worth the price you pay

Buy 5cm bigger than your cushion cover. No smell from the feathers. Plump and soft. Not cheap at £17 a cushion but its quality
