My old aerator clogged from having too much dissolved solids in the well water. The water slowed to a trickle, and also partially clogged the body of the faucet. After getting a water filter, and not wanting to wait 5 minutes for the water to warm, and not wanting the faucet body to clog again, I got this 2.2 gallon per minute, and tossed the clogged old 1.5 gpm. I used the faucet without any aerator, letting the full water pressure gradually clean out debris that accumulated with low pressure water. Every time I turned it on the pressure seemed better, and more even around the faucet opening. After about 2 weeks, the water came out at full pressure. Then I installed this. Now I get warm water in 5 seconds, and turn it off when not rinsing something. The local hardware box store didn't stock these. A 1.5 gpm isnt saving any water if heated water takes minutes to reach the faucet, and cold from the basement keeps it from warming. This is saving water now. A 1.5 gpm is designed for people who shave, and let the water run when running the razor on their face, or wet their toothbrush and let the water run while brushing. Run it when you are using it. Whats the sense of having an indoor faucet if you can't get hot water ? 1.5 gmp ? Whats next ? Perhaps in the future, there will be no knobs on a faucet. You push a button, and Artificial Intelligence gives you a few drops. Cave men had access to more water in a nearby stream, than we will.

Replaced my old clogged aerator with this one. It's as advertised and will fit most sinks. I had an old Delta faucet from the 90s and it threaded right on. I used a little plumber's tape around the thread to make an even tighter seal. Works great.

I have Moen 4600 chrome faucets throughout my home which are 18 years old. Recently, 2 of the sinks' aerators went kaput, and I needed a replacement. I turned to Amazon rather than a hardware store, as I wouldn't know where to begin. My old aerator had the number A112.18 etched on it, so I searched for that part, and this was the only one that came up. The only dilemma was that my faucet is a chrome finish, and this aerator is brushed nickel, however, I went ahead and ordered it because beggars can't be choosers. Well, it fits perfectly and although it's 'brushed nickel' v's 'chrome', I think it matched well enough *see photos*. I would recommend this aerator to anyone needing the same part#. It's affordable, the quality appears good, and it works like a charm! Thank goodness for Amazon! :-)

Only option in this finish, but way over priced!

This is the 2nd aerator that I have purchased for a bathroom sink. I have issues unscrewing the aerators to clean them and end up scratching the surface, necessitating the purchase of a new one. I have an odd brand faucet and the plumbing supply place sold me a more expensive aerator, claiming that I needed a particular one. I took a chance and ordered this one, and wouldn’t you know, it fit perfectly. These little suckers are quite expensive, anyway, however this Amazon one was the best price I could find. All in all, it seems to do the job! I’m quite pleased with it. Now, if I could hone my plumbing skills enough to remember which way to turn to unscrew, without marking the darned thing up..,I would be quite happy
