Mnxo HDMI Female to VGA Male Video Adapter Convertor with Audio

At the moment, I don't like it. My application is going between a Firestick and the RGB input on my TV. The video looks great. However, the audio ... Any of you old-timers remember intercarrier buzz on your TV's 20-30 years ago? That is exactly what this sounds like. A nasty buzz in the audio that changes pitch/intensity with changes in the video levels. Haven't decided yet what to do about it.

While this, at first, looked like it would be perfect for my needs, the audio-out never worked properly. In fact, even with the device was plugged--but not being actively used--terrible static and popping would come through the speakers for some reason. I would have investigated further, but the extremely hot temperature produced by the adapter--along with all the other issues--was enough for me to return it to Amazon for a refund.

Don't buy! 2nd replacement. Adapter got so hot I thought it was going to start a fire! I'm lucky I didn't wait to unplug it because it could've ruined the new Amazon fireTVstick I just bought or my tv! Also, the sound attachment that came with it began to squeal in a sharp, loud pitch and wouldn't stop until unplugged. I'm SOOOO DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

Works flawlessly! It is so nice to have HD TV again. I bought this because a friend of mine tried to insert an HDMI cord into my TV upside down and broke the HDMI port on my television. I wanted this adapter so I would be able to connect an XBOX ONE to my TV since XBOX ONE's do not have RVC ports on them. Plugged this into my VGA port on the television and connected the cord it came with to my audio port and it works flawlessly! Would highly recommend! Already bought two more for a couple of friends!

Updated 10-3-2015 1 star: I bought an HP laptop with Windows 10 and I cannot get it connected to my Viewsonic NX2232w LCD TV with this device. Furthermore the sound is failing on it as well.Original 4 stars: It took a long time to figure how to connect my Acer Aspire M with Win 8.1 to my Viewsonic NX2232w LCD TV. The computer did not recognize my monitor when I plugged it in. While trying to identify the monitor with trial and error I lost the display on my laptop, even after rebooting (restoration required learning how to boot in Safe Mode from a Command Prompt obtained from Win8 install disk, then forcing the next reboot to low resolution, then reversing the Safe Mode reboot process - about 4 hours of research). After I got the laptop display back I went to the Change Resolution and Removed the monitors that I had tried to use to connect. I then rebooted again. I then plugged the HDMI cable to the HDMI input on the monitor (the HDMI to HDMI resolution is terrible on this monitor, hence the need for this device). The laptop recognized it as the Viewsonic and set the correct screen resolution, I then unplugged the cable from the HDMI input on the monitor and plugged it into the MXNO attached the VGA input and switched the TV Source to D-sub. I now have what I was looking for, a high quality display that works every time I reboot. I especially like the Audio connector. I have not experienced the humming sound others have.experienced. My recommendation for connecting to a Windows 8 computer is to do a clean reboot of the computer before connecting the device and if the device is not automatically recognized in the screen resolution to be very careful about trying to force it.

DO NOT BUY!!This item will work on and off. At the beginning it will seem to connect with your chromecast OK...eventually after about 20 hrs of use, it'll die. If you are planning to use it daily and leave it plugged into the vga port on your monitor, you'll be disappointed. Save yourself a headache and do not buy. They have 3.5 stars for a reason.

Not sure if this even worked. I received a laptop that only had display port and VGA. My KVM switch is HDMI based and I was hoping to use this to hook it up to my KVM switch. Don't know if it was broken or its a bug in the switch because it didn't work. Hence the 3 stars instead of 1. Got here fast, Amazon Prime is the best.

Stopped working 15 min after I plugged it in and never worked well. Used between Chromecast and tv, but didn't work any where else either. I liked the size and the connections were good, really wanted it to work in this version.I have an older adapter that works great, but I needed another so I thought I'd try.
