Travelon Anti-Theft Metro Convertible Small Crossbody Bag

I brought this bag on a three month trip across Europe, Africa, and Asia where I only brought one bag. I am so thankful I found this! The zipper that clicked onto the bag gave me such peace of mind as we walked around many crowded cities. It's easy enough to unclip and get into yourself while also being hard enough for someone to get into without you noticing. The crossbody design was perfect and I appreciated the adjustable strap that couldn't be cut. This bag looked nice enough to be worn with almost anything and in any context, while also always holding and keeping safe our important devices and documents. It was also the perfect size - able to hold a couple pair of sunglasses, a phone or two, two passports, cash and credit cards, a deck of cards, and still have a little extra space while not feeling too big or heavy. I liked keeping my phone in the back pocket - this doesn't have a zipper but it was always flush against my body so it felt secure and allowed for easy access. We kept important documents in the interior zipper pocket and that worked so well. I felt better having those on me and looking after the bag than leaving them behind wherever we were staying. My only complaint (and it's not enough to make this less than five stars) is that after a couple months of constant use the metal of front zipper started getting warped and stuck up in such a way that it would get snagged on things. Nevertheless, I cannot recommend this bag enough.

Smaller size but good capacity. The strap is a little thin but I like it. I use this when I walk the dog or work out. I’ll use it on my next trip. I like all the safety features and zipper clasp. Seems well made. The back pocket (no zipper) fits my iPhone max.

The listing changed slightly after I ordered. I originally ordered a black bag, when there were two versions, and I received a navy blue instead. The color doesn’t bother me at all. The bag itself is going to be great for my trip to Italy this Fall. It is a small, low profile bag that will allow me to keep my phone, passport, and money close to my body. The straps and body material are heavy duty and slash resistant. The main zipper can be clipped onto the main body. The strap is “locked” onto the main rings so someone cannot easily unclip it. The front zipper is not secure, so i would keep non-valuables there (tissues, receipts). There is an open pocket on the back of the purse with no zipper. I would put my phone there for easy access, but I am going to use a phone lanyard to secure it to the purse rings. I am a size Large, and the purse fits on my front without looking too bulky. This purse version also came with a tiny purse flashlight attached to a lanyard inside, which is really convenient.

Great travel purse. It's a little heavy but that's probably because it's so safe. Uncuttable straps that can be lengthened to use as crossbody or shortened to be worn as a fanny pack. Holds a lot while being a smaller bag. My phone fit snuggly in the back slit, there a clip inside the purse that I use to attach my wallet which has a ring on top. I have back problems & was able to fit in my mini rechargeable back massager. I have another Travelon purse which is a bit larger & I love but this smaller version may become my new favorite.

I bought this bag specifically because I was travelling to Italy where many of my friends who have travelled there were pickpocketed. I am used to wearing a larger fanny pack with no security features, but decided it was best to be secure rather than bring a lot of things and have them stolen. This bag is very sturdy and yet looks fashionable. Mine is black which costs double the price of other colors but I chose black because it matches most of the neutral colors I normally wear. It has 3 pockets and an outside slit which fits my iphone comfortably so I could refer to it often without opening the inside which held my other valuables. The locks on the zippers are sturdy as are the locks to hold the across body strap. The strap would be difficult to cut with a razor and is secure to the bag itself. As it turned out, it rained most of the time I was away so the whole bag was inside of my jacket most of the time making it impossible for a person to pickpocket my bag. One feature I couldn't use was converting to a fanny pack. I am thinner and when converted to fanny pack configuration, the bag hung down almost to my thighs. My son. who had a similar bag, wore it as a fanny pack because he has a bigger waist. Leaving on a trip this week and will use this bag again-- although not concerned about security-- because holds enough with slim profile. Love this bag!

I can't say enough about this purse. I've taken it internationally twice and it's perfect. It's a great cross body, small enough I could wear it and have a jacket on over it. But it was big enough to hold my passport in a special inner zipping pocket, money, credit cards, my phone, my glasses and a couple times even my pocket charger too. Really well designed and anti theft straps with locks. The locking main zipper is genius and made me feel like no one was getting into it without me noticing. I looked far and wide for a good purse that wasn't huge but big enough to hold what I needed walking around or traveling through subways, etc, and this was great.

I have been purchasing Travelon bags for many years and this one is my 8th. Each has a different use. I have enjoyed traveling with and using them for everyday bags. Other than the clips on these new bags seeming to have thin and cheaper metal, I am looking forward to taking this on my next trip. Overall size and strap length are great. Love the material on this little bag.
