Perfect fit, need patience to reinstall on some boat motors
Good way to go for replacing a old fuel filter.. Easy to figure out what rings to use.. But depending on your actual location trust me replacing it can be a challengee, at least on my 01 mercruiser alpha 1 very tight spot and upside down from what I could see. But eventually got it in.. And believe me if you are having idle problems "especially which a cold engine" most likely your fuel filter is done! Mine looked like it was original and virtually plugged and brittle. (17 years and 700 hours) after replacing smooth start and idle even in cold weather

Mercruiser 3.0 bayliner 185 fuel pump filter
Fit perfectly in my 03 bayliner 185 with the 3.0 mercruiser. Replaced the whole pump which came with a stone filter but was told the stone was too restricting so paper it is. Also suggest you install a separate fuel water seperator
