TV is wonderful, the rest is meh
We bought this because you can't beat the price for everything that's included in the package. We felt that even if the accessories weren't the best quality, they would at least get us started since we've never owned a TV since we've been together. I'd say if you're starting from scratch like we did, it's an okay value. The sound bar isn't anything to write home about but better than the TV speakers alone. It's clearly a cheap model and we were basically expecting that since it was a package deal. If we had a sound bar or sound system left from a previous unit, we probably would find these accessories inferior and a disappointment. I think I would just purchase the TV if we had our own sound system. The TV is fantastic though! Maybe we're just super easy to please because we've never owned a TV but the picture quality is beautiful, the remote is super easy to use and responsive, the TV seems to connect to our WIFI very well and streaming services work seamlessly with the TV. It was so easy to set up but the installation was a little nerve wracking. Be sure to set aside enough time to fully read the instructions on mounting and cord installation. Be aware that you will not be able to access the TV once it's mounted on the wall with the hardware so plug in every single cord you think you're going to need. Yes, we have some extra cords hanging down at the moment but we plan to install a cable concealer on the wall to help hide them. We would rather have an extra cord or two that we might need down the road than have to deal with pulling the TV down and plugging more cords in.Also, the power cord is kinda short so keep that in mind as well when installing, especially if you're hanging it on a wall. We purchased this model based on reviews from Consumer Reports for this size range of TV.

Much easier to watch all types/colors/brightness/darkness of shows
The picture quality is excellent and I like not having to sift through a bunch of bluish snow during dark scenes. Although spending over $1500 for a TV is still a bit of a shock, the difference is worth it. Setting up Alexa voice controls was a bit challenging, but kind of interesting working through the process. If you have a cable box, be aware that Alexa will not control that. Those are still under the mgt of your cable provider remote control. But you can control TV-centric functions, turning on/off, muting, volume, etc. Sound bar was functional, but no huge advantage over the TV sound. I like how the TV has multiple sound options so that you can opt for the sound environment that fits your preference. A real win for TV improvement :-)

GREAT tv picture, but very complicated technology (elders BEWARE). Delivery/return was a NIGHTMARE!
If reviewing only the tv, it has excellent picture quality (thus the 5 stars for that part). It has all the bells and whistles expected for 2019. Here lies the unexpected problem. Sounded good in theory, but we found it had too many bells and whistles! It's a very complicated tv for the "older" generation (maybe not for millennials), and my thoughts were that you need to have a computer science degree to set it up and use it. Comes with very little instructions for actual use. We're in our 60's, and I thought we were quite technologically savvy, but we are still frustrated with it after a week. There's no way my 80 year old mother could figure out how to use the remote or all the features, even if she had an expert set it up for her. We are still not happy using it with our xfinity service. The LG remote doesn't cooperate with it for saved recordings, so we have to use our xfinity remote when watching thru the "box" for that feature. Now that xfinity has a streaming service though, plan to download the app and see how it goes so we can lose the box. Next, the bundle that comes with the tv was useless to us. We thought we were getting a bargain, but NO. The additional items are cheap off-brands. The LG tv wouldn't even sync with the soundbar cause it won't recognize the weird brand. The main attraction of getting the bundle was to get the soundbar, yet we had to buy another name brand one for LG tv to recognize it. Also the soundbar in the bundle is too tall if putting on a stand in front of the tv (covers up part of the bottom of the tv and blocks remote control functions). Think about where you can put your soundbar before getting one. In summary, if you're good with technology, this tv is GREAT. The extras in the bundle are worthless so plan to buy accessories, if you even want them, cause these are cheap and useless. I won't even get started on the debacle of UPS delivery delays, the original order arriving with a broken stand (LG never replaced stand as promised so ordered a new tv and arranged to have this one returned), and then there was the nightmare to get it returned by UPS...

The Apex of TV's
I actually purchased this to use in a video editing suite for 4K and HDR. Many editors and colorists on a more modest budget edit and grade with LG OLED's as a substitute for $50,000 reference monitors. It's not the reference monitor, but it is good-- particularly with professional calibration. As a TV to watch when not making TV, the blacks are rich, the colors true. Multiple options allow customization of the picture for your room. Set up is easy but the lack of documentation makes use somewhat confusing. The remote is bizarre. But those are things that can ultimately be figured out and are a small price to pay for such an excellent picture.
